Yea, when you can get one from a company that makes KOs at half the price it's kind of a no brainer. I respect those that still go Takara because they prefer the authenticity, but for me it's just not worth the extra $100 or so. My two cents.

So stretching the spring for the knee ratchet helped a tiny bit but not great so I'm building up a few layers of polish on the bottom of this to try and push the ratchet teeth a tiny bit closer....they really needed to use a better spring and bigger/deeper teeth...Shame none of the mp11 springs fit they are proper strong and have a few laying about

 

Well that worked out well, I just kept layering up around the inside edge , after a few coats the hole was able to be filled which allowed me to layer it higher , let it set overnight poked the hole out , put it back together and boom this leg can take his weight at last ! Just need to do
the left knee now , i used the same fine needle syringe i used on the ankles to layer it up with droplets of polish...."edit" you need to get into those 2 notches too that hold that half of the ratchet teeth

It's crazy to think that when I 1st got my MP03 Walmart exclusive, I thought that it was the best thing to ever happen to the seeker mold as MP wasn't fully established yet.

It was for its time and for a number of years afterwards. Back then I don’t think any of us could’ve foreseen the strides in poseability Takara would make 15+ years later. For example the kind of shoulder articulation on MP-52, I didn’t expect that and was pleasantly surprised to see it. No other Starscream figure has that.

 

I don't understand why they didn't make Skywarp and Thundercracker (two major G1 cartoon characters) officially numbered MPs 54 and 55. The reject characters Reboost and Nightbird should have been pluses instead.

 

I have no idea   TT hasn't been very consistent with this. If I were to guess it might be either that they're technically Takara Mall exclusives, or because they have no remolding. Then again, MP-28/MP-40 also had no remolding.

 

Simple, they dont believe they can sell enough TC and Skywarps as general releases to be worth the effort. For the most part they have been correct in their assumptions with the exceptions of Shockwave and now TC most mall exclusives are often put on discount over there
