Is that the Beast Wars Ravage with G1 Ravage? It's not exclusive to Pulse so it shouldn't be hard to get.

 

I thought being a Pulse-con toy that it would be, at least for us with so few retailers carrying "proper" toys. I know their have been reports of it showing up in games stores in Canada but the cost of shipping even if I got a good deal would end up being more.

 

So um...think this is the first time since early 2012 or so that I am not even lukewarm for most of the first wave of a new series.

Dragstrip looks like a maybe, if only to send hasbro a message that there's a market for combiners done properly at higher budgets. None of the others are my cup of tea, but mad props for paying homage to so many lines and eras.

Today has been a good day for blue jets courtesy of @joetele 's lovely Cybertron Dirge and an MP Thundercracker from Kapow.

Properly toleranced, the MP52 mould is a winner. No cracks on my TC, the stand is sturdy enough this time for some flying poses and the paint is miles ahead of Starscream. The lower legs are still a tad loose but he can hold his poses just fine.

MP11 was great but this is night and day.

 

I can see why. I gotta admit I don't think it's as strong as Seige Wave1 and the more I think about it with the price bumps I don't know if I'd buy more then Laser Prime/Scourge and the Stunticons depending on how Menasor looks.

Like I dont think Arcee and BH are bad but they way they've interpreted things is just kinda weird, Like some one said "make square" rather then say can you do this again but reference the design language of Siege etc.

Don't know why I didn't twig that, once they announced Bulkhead, we probably wouldn't see Blaster in wave 1 - but in retrospect, fairly obvious.

Nothing in this announcement quickened my soul. Dragstrip indeed looks technically superior to the CW one but I think I'll stick to my plan of buying the previous effort off someone who is upgrading.

Happy with my Legends Kickback. Amused that he's being positioned as team leader now, because hey the other two have had a go.

So no purchases for me here.

Rancor looks great but can't justify the £330 when I've got a shitload of Hot Toys figures on pre-order, one of which (Blurrg) I don't actually have a place to display safely in a place Rebecca cannot reach.

4 tiers.....Rancor Keeper is an obvious one, maybe another Luke as well then some accessories.

I imagine there'll be the usual faux drama over whether it'll reach it's goals which is daft. Every HasLab project always has people doubting this or that because they don't instantly reach their goals but they all seem to crawl in under the wire and make it right at the death.

No drama in that, just an inevitability particularly with a cash cow like Star Wars.

Over to Analog Toys for the related whinge about how it's not available at retail for £25  

Cobb Vanth, Mayfeld and the Snowy Mando with Grogu and the spider are bought.

Might get Muddy Mando in case they do a Mudhorn at some point. Hope they do a new unmasked Mando head for the figure in the same armour as Mayfeld.

Started to watch the fishing show with Paul Whitehouse and Bob Mortimer on BBC IPlayer and have had a right laugh at the first 3 episdoes, just wish I could get IPlayer working on my PS4 so I can watch it in my room but for some reason it won't let me sign into my account on my PS4.

Indeed, we can surmise that now but when we just had the leak lists Bulky boy seemed the odd one out so it seemed reasonable to think that the ones with the Prime prefix might actually be Prime styled, which is why when we saw Bulkhead I had a sliver of hope we might get the Prime aesthetics with modern engineering I had been hoping for, but alas it was not to be... I'd still like for them to do a Studio Series line based on the cartoons though for those more drastically non G1 cartoon styles.

Funnily enough her not being so much like her Prime design actually increases the odds of me getting her, though as someone other than Arcee...

As I said before I think my main issue is that the premise is bringing in characters from across the multiverse... but in practice it seems to be bringing in characters from G1ified versions of that multiverse... one of those cases where it feels like two good ideas but not necessarily good to combine them. Like to me, one of the strengths of the TF multiverse IS that some of them are so drastically different looking but it's all Transformers... but it would seem Hasbro are continuing on their G1 as the be all and end all of Transformers in Generations other than Studio Series... and even that isn't 'safe' with SS'86 though I appreciate they made that it's own subline rather than mixing it in with the rest of the SS numbering etc.

Sorry to come across as grouchy and again I bare no ill will to anyone happy with the above and I'm not trying to be all anti GEEWUNN. But I am, to use your parlance up there, a Prime 'Stan' I guess. It's the TF series that resonated with me the most, and a big part of that is I loved the aesthetic, so it's somewhat disheartening to see what could have been a great opportunity to celebrate that visual diversity with seeing these characters I love getting G1ified  
Maybe I should make like @robotmel and snag a Prime Knockout sometime to give a noseless Knockout head to something?

Well that's Galvatron, Prime, Skids, Kickback and Dragstrip all added to my pre-order pile (plus lunchtimes Ravage order hasn't been dismissed by Hasbro).

Will give Arcee and Bulkhead the once over in store, when they make their bricks and mortar debut.

Now when/where do I order Voyager Blaster and Cores Skywarp & Hot Rod?

 

Mildly annoyed that I'm all in for Deluxe Wave 1, plus Bulkhead. The way they had his shield rucksack arranged looked way more like his Animated back gubbins with the G1 filter, dinnit?
Arcee will be repurposed as a separate Fembot to G1 Arcee, and I'll nab a Flamewar recolour to boot, thank you.
Despite the potential poseability up the wazoo of the new Laser Prime, and swanky trailer I'm happy with TR Laser Prime, and is it me or does it seem Anime Shins has become the default for CHUG Primes? He just looks a bit gangly to me. Also I'm not too chuffed with the very, very round redesign of the twin blaster.
HOWEVER an inevitable Scourge redeco? I'd have to think about that!

I just realised something momentus about Legacy Prime Arcee: SHE HAS A FACIAL EXPRESSION! She looks to have a sort of smirk going on and not a :| face! STOP THE PRESSES!

I think the prime leg problem is that they've just reused the Earthrise/Siege legs. Again. Also explains why the arms have to fold up behind the cab rather than do anything nifty like slotting into the thighs. And it explains why the wheels look a little on the small side.

Will probably grab Bulkhead and Arcee in store, but they’re not the ones I need urgently for my collection.
