So Hasbro....after you make that G2 tank Megatron I want...how about you start putting out the Dinobots in their G2 colors...

I could use a blue and teal Grimlock and red and green Slag on my shelf.  

 

For me all the tfs reveals bar bulkhead are must haves. Arcee looks cool as does dragstrip and laser prime.

I hope to preorder these later. They had some interesting sw reveals too including the rancor haslab project.

 

I'm glad they managed to acknowledge that Animated exists at all a few times in this stream. Now we just need some actual new toys of the TFA cast done in the same vein as the new TFP Arcee, which captures the spirit of the character a lot better than the new Bulkhead does.

 

Kickback probably showed Venom the pics of Venom dressed as Starscream and quickly relinquished command to Kickback to avoid that level of embarrassment and scandal. Remember Kickback is always collecting dirt on his "friends".

 

Thing is, I liked the previous trilogy look wise…. Those looked like how they turned out, pretty good. These very very much look like the 2014 era of “cheapest thing we can possibly make”. Having em in hand won’t fix those terrible hands and massive hollow cavities.

 

His shoulder blocks also don't look to articulate. Seems his arms can only swing forward via that flip panel.

 

That sucks. "G1ification" is extremely unflattering on TFP characters.

 

Lack of pins is probably due to the relative difficulty of getting them right now.

 

Well, RIP to the Weaponizers/Modulators/Fossilizers gimmicks.
Such a shame, too. The Decepticon/Predacon Weaponizers/Modulators/Fossilizers are hugely outnumbered by the Autobot/Maximal Weaponizers/Modulators/ Fossilizers. Just look. Siege and its corresponding Generations Selects had 5 Autobot Weaponizers (WFC-S8 Cog, WFC-S22 Autobot Six-Gun, WFC-S56 Powerdasher Aragon, WFC-GS04 Powerdasher Cromar, and WFC-GS08 Powerdasher Zetar) and only 1 Decepticon Weaponizer (WFC-S37 Brunt). Earthrise and its corresponding Generations Selects had 4 Autobot Weaponizers/Modulators (WFC-E8 Ironworks, WFC-GS15 Hot House, and Galactic Odyssey Collection Encounter 5: Botropolis Rescue Mission Overair and Ironworks), equal to the Decepticons (WFC-E18 Decepticon Airwave, WFC-E35 Decepticon Fasttrack, WFC-GS12 Greasepit, and WFC-GS22 Black Roritchi). And then Kingdom, its corresponding Generations Selects, and the WFC Trilogy Netflix Toyline, gave the Autobots/ Maximals even more of a lead with 4 Weaponizers/Fossilizers (WFC-K25 Wingfinger, WFC-K39 Tricranius, in the Tricranius Beast Power Fire Blasts Collection pack, WFC-GS25 Transmutate, and WFC-K33 Autobot Slammer) with the Decepticons/Predacons only getting 3 More Figures (WFC-K7 Paleotrex, WFC-K15 Ractonite, and Fossilizer Skelivore, who was sold in the Kingdom Spoiler Pack with Megatron). Meaning that there are 13 Autobots/Maximals and only 8 Decepticons/ Predacons.
Not even removing the Galactic Odyssey Collections figures and/or saying that the WFC-E33 Deluxe Centurion Drone Weaponizer Pack Centurion Drone (which didn't have a Marking) is a Decepticon still lowers the difference to only 2, which would require the Zone Metrosquad which isn't that likely.
Also, that gimmick had such potential to create new characters. And they ditched it for what? Energon Weapons?

 

Boo. It's the one thing I'm interested in, but I sure ain't signing up for premium just for that.

 

I like Kickback, provided he doesn't look too tall next to other guys. Insecticons should be fairly small. But he gave me some nostalgia.

Dragstrip looks Decent. Good. I think I need to see more Stunts and Menasor to see if I need him.

Arcee looks good. Not so great I absolutely must own her, but good. I'm unsold but interested.

Laser Prime is pointless and unnecessary for me. I have multiple of the original and this is in no way an improvement. That's not Hasbro's fault, there was no way they were gonna out do that original short of Commander class. I just don't need a lesser take.

I was really hoping to see Blaster and Iguanus, and maybe an energon monster. So honestly this was a bit underwhelming.
I think there's good potential I just expected to see more.

This all looks pretty damn good. Dragstrip especially.

 

Not sure I personally care about buying any of these figures (aside from maybe Laser Optimus), but they all look pretty good aside from Bulkhead. I also think Arcee is a bit weak, although still miles better than Bulkhead. The best (IMO) are definitely Laser Optimus and Drag Strip. It feels like we just got the Stunticons, but that was about seven years ago now...it's crazy how time flies.

I do wish we got some Studio Series...I'd love to have seen some of the Cybertron Bumblebee figures. I feel like Studio Series tends to take a backseat.

 

Yeah, I've got the Gen Selects "G2" Megatron but we could really use one with the proper robot mode and all.

 

I know it sucks, but its your only option other then hoping it doesn't run out by 5.

 

Just noticed that Kick back still has the pilot cockpit feature from the Diaclone line like his G1 toy. I wonder if it will be compatible with Titan masters or an upcoming figure.

 

I see Hasbro started their new HasLab during PulseCon. Star Wars Black Series Rancor for $350. Yikes. Less complicated than Victory Saber, so must be huge then at that price. I'll stick with Vintage Collection size on Star Wars stuff, Black Series is getting expensive. I think this is their first Black Series HasLab. Wow.
