I think he still does, he has a gap between his fingers and the palm. So you can still move them.

Them seem to be molded open rather than being able to be opened.

 

What goes inside those panels on the shoulders I wonder. Looks like they swing open from the top.

 

That sucks, I would rather have a Deluxe Insecticon 4 pack. I'm done wasting money on multi-packs that include figures I don't want to get one figure I do want, so I guess I won't get it unless it is released seperately later like the clones.

 

I need to see how the Stunticons actually combine before I make a final decision.

 

After my excitement wore off I have a few thoughts:
While I’m excited for the new line, this has to be one of the most lackluster first waves for me in a long time. The Laser Prime doesn’t do much for me, Bulkhead is ok, Kickback looks good, Dragstrip also looks good, iffy on Prime Arcee, and Skids is a mess. Not to mention the price has gone up $3 and I’m almost positive we’ll see another price bump within a year or two. Nothing here has wowed me. The only thing I’m somewhat excited about is a new Menasor. Can’t wait for that. Granted we haven’t seen Blaster or the cores yet.

I don’t know. With WFC the hype was constantly there for me. Each line did something and had a wow factor from the start. Legacy is meh to me in that regard. Not great, not bad, just middle of the road if you will.

He does not and I am actually happy about that. I was always afraid those opening hands would snap at any time. Plus that little bit of budget went to giving him a proper battle station instead of the hollow bit of plastic like what came with ER Prime.

 

Just wondering if anyone else can tell the following 1. Does it look like the front of the car pieces can fold down onto dragstrips back? As it kind of looks like they can as they look really out of place.

2. Am I imagining things or on kick back does the lower part of his chest look detachable? As you can see a different clour yellow / gold on the upper part

 

That Dragstrip... Mmmmmm and a deluxe Kickback, I'm listening. I was not a fan of Lazer Prime, I have the 2000 RID repaint of him as Scourge, the hose was wonky to me, however... I liked what I saw, the trailer was nice, the figure was dynamic, I am sold on this guy now!
I thought Arcee was pretty good. Motorcycle characters get a bad rap due to engineering limitations. I was sad we couldn't get a look at Blaster but I am looking forward to this next year!

Yeah, that was a surprise. Everyone knows that Venom is the Insecticon leader. Hopefully we get all of the deluxe Insecticons eventually.

 

yeah, it's insane - that set should GENEROUSLY be $35

Last years set was essentially the same price as the MSRP of the contents - even at a "convention exclusive markup" there's no way this set should be more than $40/45.
I'm bummed, because I'd love to have that BW Ravage, but I'm just tapped out on what Hasbro's thinking they can keep bleeding us for.

 

Some of the worst looking hands I’ve ever seen on a mainline figure. Like wtf are those? They look like something I’d see on some cheap KO. (As do those clear plastic weapons)

 

I kinda doubt the removal of pins in the hands gave them enough budget to make a battle station. The more likely reasoning for that is simply due to a presumably less parts heavy transformation and more baked in repaints.

 

On one hand I agree, but on the other, I like the ability of opening his hands. ...

Yeah, besides a new head I'd like a new torso and shoulders at least. Besides his iconic gun... wait... I wonder if that's why Arcee has the gun from her alt mode weapon that's not iconic for her? I mean... I know Ransack's was from the back of the bike and not the front, but maybe?

 

I wouldn’t jump the gun that quick. I’m not gonna compare these figures to those atrocities until I have them in hand next year. On looks, it looks a bit of a downgrade, but it was the quality and feel that killed the figures from those 2 lines for me. Give it till release to come to that conclusion.
