Welp. Time to sell Combiner Wars Menasor!

 

So, for sure gonna get Arcee, Dragstrip, and Laser Prime. And, because of how oddly good Arcee looks, now I'm definitely wanting Bulk. What I'm kinda surprised by is that we didn't get any SS stuff nor a look at the Core Class.

 

I was so excited for Iguanus. At least the rest is dope! Will be preordering once they’re up on BBTS.

 

I need some deeper g1 cuts. Give crossblades, g2 volt , and skram.

 

Ok I’m going to be honest. I don’t know why they held back showing the rest of wave 1.

With that choice they didn’t show off 2 of the better figures in my opinion of the wave (Blaster and Iguanas).

Also I’ll just say it, Arcee makes a better Road Rocket than Arcee.

 

Should be core class G1 Iguanus

 

But not everyone's in the US.

That's not an excuse to do it.

 

So, Laser Prime reusing the Earthrise Prime legs implies they can tow each other's trailers, right? I am strangely excited by that idea.

 

An UK stores said that Laser Optimus and Bulkhead are expected for the next summer. Kingdom may last longer than expected.

 

My bets are on one of those Energon Monster thingys. Wouldn't be a bad idea I guess?

 

Arcee: Looks really good. Much closer to her Prime design translated to G1 than Bulkhead (not that it actually bothers me about Bulkhead). Not the biggest fan of her arms blades, but I've got a pair of third party swords I bought for Earthrise Arcee (who I long ago sold) that she can have.

Drag Strip: Looks really good. Seems like he's a larger-than-average deluxe which is nice since the Stunticons were around Aerialbot's heights. Can't wait to see the combined mode and hopefully it ends up much more stable than Combiner Wars Menasor.

Kickback: Oh, he looks so much better than I thought he would. While I was planning to purchase him because I love the Insecticons... this actually has me really excited about him now. I especially love the Dark Energon swords. Very cool.

Laser Optimus: I have no words. He is perfect. He is bought. I'm stunned at just how good he ended up coming out. Even his trailer's battle station is better than Earthrise Prime's. Really really hyped for this guy!

 

I 100000% agree with you. Unlike you I AM a huge Prime fan. I think it's the best animated series the franchise ever got and a very strong line over all. Over the years, I managed to pick up almost all the characters and figures I wanted or had missed in the first one. Getting the two pack last year was a real treat.

But you know who I don't have? Bulkhead. For whatever reason, never got one. My Team Prime has no big green guy, which is weird and the First Edition one is super expensive. I was hoping we would get a "new Prime Bulkead" that would look like he did in the cartoon. Aaaaaaaaaaaand we didn't get it.

And that's okay. I'll still fill the Bulkhead-void with Legacy Bulkhead.

It just amazes me that after over 15 years of Transformers really figuring out what it was about as the Unicron Trilogy wrapped up, people *still* do this infantile stuff where they throw a fit if they don't get what they want. It's like every line is the first line they've ever seen. And yet, for the most part *every* Transformers Generations line the past 15 years has been a few pieces of true brilliance, a lot of good, some meh and a handful of real stinkers. We go through this time and time again.

Legacy Bulkhead is a solid meh as is Legacy Arcee to me. I think First Edition did them both WAY better back in 2012. And that's fine. Big deal! If perfect Bulkhead is that important to me, I get get the FE Bulkhead for like $100 or something on Ebay. But he ain't, so Legacy Bulkhead will do.

This should a be a consistently positive hobby. It's so wild to me folks get worked up because they don't get 100% of what they want.

I'm gonna try to write some deeper thoughts later, but it's funny to me, I'm more excited for repaints (flamewar and scourge) then the primary versions. Not to say these arent exciting, I just like those characters. I'm wondering where the 2nd voyager for wave 1 is though. Did they not reveal it for a reason?

 

Honestly see bulkhead and especially arcee shelfwarming just like many of their other previous incarnations.

 

Depending on how these new ones link up, I might.

 

I don't think that's gonna be the case imo. They're most likely gonna release early next year for sure. They ain't gonna release the first wave in the middle of the year.

 

Many people are speculating that it is G1 Iguanus of the upcoming core class figures.
