I’m not familiar with every single canon so maybe something like this idea has been explored but I like to think that the matrix does not dictate who is the leader of the Autobots.

It would be more like a religious thing. It just so happens that the way it chooses a bearer is by traits that make very good leaders. So while there could be a Cybertronian chosen by the matrix that isn’t a good leader most of the time they are and the people choose to follow the prime. But I’d imagine that at some point there’s be a bad prime and in that case the Cybertronians/ Autobots (once the war started) would informally elect a new leader.

Also I imagine that Cybertronians have very similar familial relationships to humans (just makes it easier for me). Obviously they don’t reproduce but get ‘forged’ so all children would be gotten exclusively via adoption. They’d have parents (not necessarily following gender roles/ norms of humans as they don’t reproduce) and children. This is why there is cases such as Sideswipe and Sunstreaker being brothers. Are they genetically related? No but they were both adopted by the same parents.

I like this theory. It's now part of my headcanon, too.

When The Fallen betrayed his fellow Primes, he was not alone. His personal kill squad, the Infernocons, aided him in battle, distracting the remaining Primes while he went straight for Prima, intent on seizing the Matrix.

If this is Sunbow G1 we're talking about, then I don't think so. Wasn't Trypticon built after Grimlock in 2005?

This is true for sunbow, but the cartoon wasn't exactly consistent with transformer creation ( Vector sigma's dubious necessity and the constructicons come to mind) so I pick, choose, and makeup whatever makes visual sense.

The division between Autobots and Decepticons naturally lead to further splintering into smaller factions as time went on, some that correspond to the existing paradigm, many that don't.

"The Underground" is a 'faction' opposed to the concept of factions as a whole and believes anyone with a badge is guilty of fracturing the unity of their species. Their leader is a hulking brute of a bot who adorns his body with the various badges he's torn off of his kills, usually only from figures he deems important, he calls himself 'Skulk'.

Two of his subordinates are Hefter, an ex-Decepticon laborer and Nightbird.

The metal-eating Doriya insects (from Transformers Victory) are the ancestors of the Scraplets. Throughout thousands of years of evolution on Planet X, they honed their hunting techniques and arsenal while also taking a few notes from their preys. Their slimy bodies progressively turned into a metallic shell that allowed them to adapt harsher environments, and their teeth sharpened into razors capable of tearing through Cybertronian alloy in a matter of seconds.

In my universe Abominus was the first attempt by Shockwave to create a combiner. He took a preexisting elite Special Operations Group, dubbed the Terrorcons, and experimented on them to create a combined form in which the will and identities of the members were suppressed and enslaved to the will of the group leader Hun-Garr. This combiner worked well until Abominus reverted back to the individual bots. The previously muted members, infuriated by their lack of control, immediately executed Hun-Garr. They then vowed to never again participate in Shockwave's schemes, insisting that what they experienced while combined was a fate worse then death.*

*this works to explain why I have all of the PotP Terrorcons except for Hun-Gurr.

G1 Megatron's current Cybertronian body when he was in stasis on the Ark transformed into an ornithopter, a real kind of aircraft that generates lift by flapping its wings, like the ones in Dune.

This is why BW Megatron's Ancestral Spark Melding upgrade body (NOT Transmetal II, because the Transmetal driver was not involved) mutated his beast mode into having wings and making his dinosaur mode's shape aerodynamic, similarly to how Optimus Primal was mutated into having a truck mode when melding his spark with his ancestor, Optimus Prime.

Car Robot Cybertron like stalking people in Vehicle mode is because they want to keep a low profile to avoid unwanted history changing since they came from the future.

Interesting idea. I can picture that vehicle mode as a Cybertronian vehicle mode for G1 Kickback. Or any of the flying insect transformers from the Beast Wars toy line like Waspinator. Or even better yet, Jetstorm.

Ornithopters are cool. They're my go-to alternative for helicopters for Cybertronian modes. I love helicopters but have a hard time imagining many that "look right" as Cybertronian vehicles, and the typical Terminator Hunter-Killer style VTOL jet hovercraft most use just aren't the same.

-Movie Hound looked like his first voyager toy before the events of AOE- But the hunting of transformers by cemetary wind and subsequent loss of his comrades caused him to put on weight via stress/ self neglect.

-Windblade is the apprentice of Star saber ( Similar names, weaponry, and Japanese design elements).Similarly, the decepticon once known as Deadlock themed his autobot identity after the legend of Star Saber.
-The monsterbots are a subgroup- Not a team. Each of them is called a monster for a different reason.
-Repugnus considered a monster because of his actions. Due to his actions with the wreckers, he was reformatted into a monster as punishment. This had the perk of enabling a more productive use of his talents.
-Grotesque is considered a monster for his appearance and abilities. Unlike the other two, he was born this way.
-Twinferno is a little bit of both. As a former decepticon, he doublecrossed them after being used as a test subject for the same procedure that produced the terrorcons. He's only with the autobots for revenge.

After switching to an Earth vehicle mode, a Transformer will still have the stats from their Cybertronian vehicle mode. On the one hand, this generally results in the them being faster, having better endurance physically and in travel time, and in applicable cases stronger weapons than their vehicle mode's Earth counterpart. However, the downside to this is that the vehicle mode must be of a similar enough type for the systems to still function properly without more specific modifications. For example, a seeker that got a car mode would go too fast to stay on the ground, while an Autotrooper that got a jet mode couldn't get airborne.

Megatron was disgusted by Devastator's lame performance in City of Steel, as punishment he sent the Constructicons to find and supply the Decepticon cause with energy from various planets that the Constructicons knew about in their travels over the last 9M years.

There's also a mental aspect, too

Windblade's spark was born in car transector like her siblings Minerva and Nightbeat. Part of the cause of the considerable emotional stress and trauma she suffered in her early days was from this ill-suited body.

Remodeling into her jet body helped tremendously

Enemy is the black sheep/dark secret amongst the Tapes Corps. He did some things so horrific that Soundwave had to seal him away (and this is even going by Wave's standards).

Might as well repost this here too from another thread:

Titans are a type of Cybertronian Vector Sigma isn't currently allowed to create, but leftover Quintesson-use Cybertronians. Titans are in fact Quintesson warships, and use a different, superior FTL propulsion system than what the independent Cybertronians would eventually invent. (Quintessons no longer use Cybertron-type machines after their rebellion) When the Quintessons were driven out, Vector Sigma imbued them with a "sapling" spark, which could fertilize a planet such that it had its own well of all sparks and self-replenishing Energon system, ultimately Cybertron's method of colonizing and expanding to new worlds. But the lineage of Primes has not yet filled the Matrix with enough wisdom for Vector Sigma to approve of such an expansion, and so no colonization has happened since a disaster which forced Cybertron to cut itself off from its previous colonies after provoking an alien threat that nearly caused Cybertronian extinction. Currently, most Titans on Cybertron lay dormant, the few who are awake being the Council of Guardians, who would fight for true peace for peaceful people, but never take part in war, and forbid any other Titan from doing so as well. The Council of Guardians passively watch over the path to the Well of All Sparks and Vector sigma, and the Circle of Light, led by Yoketron-sama, are a voluntary commission working as active agents in service to the same cause, albeit under the Primus religion.
