At that point might as well not do it… I hate having death be meaningless in movies. Megatron kept getting revived to the point of it being funny. Not to mention bee was already killed in Bumblebee, then immediately revived.

I mean considering Bumblebee was the only main Autobot to survive all of Bay's films, only having brushes with the possibility of death (Soundwave in DOTM, Optimus Nemesis Prime in TLK), I think it's safe to assume that if he actually did bite the ax, even if temporarily, it would be quite a shocking moment.

Agreed. If you're going to kill off a character, keep them dead. There's no point in doing it otherwise.

If they really want to do something like this, just hurt the character to the point they need extra Energon to recover and whatnot.

 

The thing is while Bumblebee, Helicopter Dropkick, and Car Shatter weren’t bad figures, for many they failed to represent what we saw on screen. And no more than 1-2 years later we got much more accurate figures in the form of Car Dropkick, Jet Shatter, and Jeep Bee, which were much better received.

 

Agrew the problem I have with Disney and marvel is that when they kill of a character they always come back. Ironman died in endgame yet they still brought him back in forms of flashbacks. I don't have a problem with that but if it's like every movie it's pointless. Now if one of them were to die I hope they stay dead no more of he was alive this whole time and did not really die.

I agree that when a character is dead they should stay dead, but I don't think the case with iron man has a problem though, he only appears as a memory of other heroes, that doesn't only can let the audience getting more into the new stories, but also make sense. If one day they decided to keep Optimus dead and let hot rod becomes rodimus prime, letting rodimus reminds himself what Optimus has done before wouldn't be a bad thing for the story imo
