I think this whole 'screen accuracy' term is hideously problematic. I mean, it's literally impossible for any of these toys to be truly screen accurate ("sorry, I don't remember seeing pins on Arcee in the cartoon"), so what's the acceptable margin? And is there an answer to that question that doesn't invite the worst sort of pedantry? I don't think there's any toy in the whole WfC trilogy that is "correct in all details" in relation to its on-screen model. But man, a load of them have gone really far in their efforts to evoke what we saw in the cartoons. Which I think is all Warden was trying to say when he used the term.

Honestly, it's like the whole 'Sky-Lynx MUST be a Titan because scale charts' thing all over again.

A Titan Sky-Lynx would be really hard to find a display for. At least one that could include other figures. There is also the issue of space for such a display.

I’m of the opinion: playability over screen accuracy

they’re toys and the animation frequently cheats to make the characters appear more streamlined in the shows

I like Kingdom Rhinox more than T30 Rhinox. I have both. They are both good. I like Kingdom more.

Nothing else is of relevance. Everyone's allowed to have their prefrences. You are allowed to like what you like and you can even provide reasons for it. But anyone who uses any language that looks down on others for prefering a different toy than another person is simply an absurd person.

I like the chest of Kingdom Rhinox. I think the figure overall lays the groundwork for an MP Rhinox much better than T30 does. I personally like the transformation, even the legs. Took a few tries to get the feel for it, but then it wasn't that bad.

Overall, I just find him to be a better figure. More fun to play with, easier to pose, more interesting overall. If you disagree, that's great, I'm glad you have a figure you get more enjoyment out of. That's great. I feel lucky to have these different, wonderful versions that we get to argue over which one is better.

Definitely don't disagree with you. My whole perspective has been that all of them definitely take inspiration from the show bot modes, but have their own deviations from accuracy, thus making all of them inaccurate in some regard. My issue is with the assertion that Kingdom Rhinox is crap because he is inaccurate (the T30 one is also not show accurate) and the claim that the others are all show accurate. I don't think any of them are anywhere close to crap, they all have positives and negatives but for me the positives far outweigh any negatives and they are all plainly recognizable as the characters they are intended to be. My issue is with people who think the figures have to be show accurate or else they are crap and then move the goal posts saying they don't care about show accuracy only to go back to complaining about deviations from the show model.

To sum it up, it is ok that these figures deviated from the show models, it's practically impossible for some of them to be show accurate anyway and overall these are really good toys and I'd have been thrilled to have any of them as a kid when Beast Wars was airing, including Rhinox since my only one was the Fox Kids repaint.

    It could also be Airazor.

I always thought that this scene could be used in both versions, in the USA as a courtesy of having saved her, in Japan the same and more a hetero pairing, since there Airazor is still a man.

In other news, I added some colour to Kingdom Rattrap. Pretty please with the result. PXL_20210914_020657215.jpg PXL_20211008_012424022.jpg

I really enjoy actually fiddling around with Kingdom Rhinox. I’ve probably only transformed the T30 version a handful of times over the years, but the Kingdom version draws me in. His wide faux chest jaw is really compelling compared to how narrow the T30 version is, and those butterfly joints are great.

So Kingdom wins for playability while T30 wins for shelf presence.

Anyways, I am absolutely hyped for Kingdom Waspinator!

I hope they make Buzz Saw, Bug Bite, Skywasp, and Buzzbomb (Fox kids repaint). Army building “Wasps” will make up for not being able to army build Vehicon drones!

In the same vein I'd love it if we ever got a Hardhead or Thrustor from the Dinobot mold.

Can’t forget Terrorsaur’s repaints: Lazorbeak (and Hydra), Fractyl, Terranotron/Swoop, and Strafe/Garboyl

Or Double Punch and Sandstorm from Scorponok!

Does anybody happen to have any good recommendations for a flight stand for Waspinator? I just got mine, and want to display him in the air alongside the other preds.

I have a set of Tamashi nations act 5 stands, but the flight stand hole is in a spot where the stand arm can't fit.
