Yes it is. So hard to get it, missed 12 times lol. Finally got some having minor paint wear in metal parts in reasonable price...and yeah I also think YF-19 is the most balanced design in overall Macross valkyries. VF-1 is too chunky and F, Delta, they're too slim compare to YF-19(no offense). So I decided to get that one and finishing Macross collecting because you know, DX Chogokin series is way tooo expensive to collecting with other hobbies(in this case, of course it is the Transformers) But well, someday when the DX YF-21 released, I think I could buy it because Macross Plus is my favorite Macross series.

The Arcadia is alot better looking in all modes and stuff than the DX, imho...

I think even the old tiny GN-U is even better looking than the DX in battroid... :ev:

The YF-19 is growing on me again. Just in time for the Arcadia to drop into my lap (hopefully). I am a bit nervous since the review on Anymoon talks about loose ankles so hoping that this reissue fixes that. The DX looks impressive with all the detail and labels everywhere.

Yea it was, I missed out initially too but luckily was able to order one a week after it was out.
Lol of course man but the GN-U doesn’t transform so there’d be something wrong if it didn’t look better. Having said that, Arcadia did a pretty good job getting as close as they did with their 1/60 without resorting to a parts swapping transformation. It’s proof that a perfect transformation Valkyrie toy with a heroic battroid silhouette and a sleek fighter mode(without little to no robo kibble) can be made. It’s a huge leap over the 1st Yamato 1/72 VF-19 toy from 20+ years ago.

Don't get me wrong, but the DX YF-19 is fine.

For one, it has better ankles than the original Arcadia YF-19.

    A very important purchasing consideration.

As such, we'll see if Arcadia ever improved the stupid ankles with the upcoming reissue of their YF-19.

They never did fix the backward chest stripes, it appears. No one ever got that wrong until Bandai did, then they did it again...

Never noticed that before. That's something that would normally bother me. Surprisingly it doesn't.

    Bandai's "symmetry" shenanigans, perhaps.

Most likely they're just being lazy and cheap to fully recolor their previous VF-19Advance parts/deco into the proper YF-19 deco:

I know People over at MW are freakinG out about NinNin and filing PayPal claims because the 180 days ppp is coming up but NNG just shipped out my GBP/1J set via DHL. Was ready to put in a claim myself. Good that I don’t have to. Shipping was about $44 USD. I was sure they were going to comeback and asked for more since it was prepaid.

I figure it was never intended that the "Advance" one had "backwards for no reason" chest stripes, that Bandai were simply wrong with that one too (because the shoulders and chest are clearly intended to be a single, continuous look/stripe in battroid mode), and that Bandai got the Advance wrong and then continued to simply refuse to acknowledge that was wrong, and kept it on the regular YF-19. (changing it, would admit it was an error in the first place...). It's not as obvious as the ventral fins, and is only visible in one mode(well, sorta, in GERWALK too), so they figured they could get away with it. (which seems somewhat true, as a lot of people don't notice until it's pointed out)

Yeah seriously it deserves it. And YF-19 is rather more cost-effective than other valkyries because it doesn't have any super/fast/armored pack and that means no additional expense required lol

Apparently the Arcadia is gonna be as good or better with the re-release. If they fix the ankles.

Since my little brother lived in Japan for 2 years, he still has good friends there. Instead of ordering import wanna let one of his friends buy it for me and send it with cheapest way possible as a gift. Canceled my previous order since it wasn't out anyway. You don't pay taxes for gifts right?

can confirm the Arcadia is a fantastic figure except for the ankles. I had a brand new one and they were so loose out of the box the battroid mode would just topple over unless I had it positioned in a way where the wings could be used for additional support. That bugged me so much it made a few other issues seem more annoying as a result.

it was pretty close to perfect IMO. If the reissue fixed those ankles, it’d be up there with their VF-0.

Hmmm, my 19’s ankles are fine and it’s been displayed in Battroid forever now. still this will make me check them. I’ve always like the Arcadia more than the DX i know i sold my DX to someone here when i got rid of it.

Yeah, that's what has me worried that even the reissue will have similar problems.
