God I hope you're right. I loved Prime, but Armada... that series holds a special place in my heart, it's the series that really got me into TFs in the first place. I grew up on the tail end of G1 and Beast Wars, so those influenced me a lot less.

By that logic, Prime should be getting more love, right? The cartoon and video games were very popular with kids, and could be marketed to them again if they made new media for it. Those kids who originally fell in love with Prime are also now adults who have their own income and nostalgia for it (if you were 15 watching prime you'd be 27 during Legacy, which is certainly an age range that can buy its own plastic).

BW changed in a way that made sense, they were always supposed to turn into realistic animals (excluding the Fuzors and TMs obviously) but the 90s show CGI could not really capture that. Prime has no such reason to change. Barricade looks like himself in Studio Series too.

by that logic you'd also think that they'd give animated more love, as that was one of the most kid-friendly shows ever.

Skids looks like Skids. So that’s good. That said I have no personal attachment to the character and mostly getting him to finish the 85 cars and eventual Honda City troop building with Crosscut, Reboost, Burn Out, and the other Red Skids.

It's not "fauxforming". They become the spare wheels kept behind the cab, like the real world vehicle.

Sure it may have been nice if the ones on the shoulders became the front wheels, but whatever. At least they aren't fake parts that just get hidden away (this even coming from someone who doesn't mind faux parts).

Edit: or maybe not. Looking at it more, it looks like the wheels on his shoulders DO become the front wheels, and the wheels folded together on his back fold out to become the spares.

 

Im gonna need an IDW upgrade kit for Skids, ASAP.

There was a hoist in Thrilling 30 that was very inaccurate to G1.

 

i'd be less mad if they hid away better. but i guess they can be explained as spare tyres like he had on his original tfp alt mode

that chest is entirely clear plastic isn't it? this doesn't bode well for QC if its that really thin stuff
