I don't recall saying Armada Starscream was a retool - I believe he's a new mold.

Jhiaxus is apparently a retool of a toy I can't say anything much about. But to my eyes it's so extensive as to be almost more shared engineering.

I can't tell if it's a retool/shared engineering from the pics I've seen. I will say the car mode looks pretty decent and is more accurate than the bot mode. And I'd say the only thing he's really lacking is shoulder spikes and the sharp edges of his original design.

It's possible a 3rd party may even come up with an add on spike kit.  

 

Barricade still got a movie ver. update in SS though; there's no where else for Bulkhead and Knock Out.

So, and apologies for asking so much, but I can't help but feel antsy about KO now, but does he have the doors on his arms and at least SOME form of shoulder pads?

 

Many of the same people who don't like the new Bulkhead and possibly the new Knockout are the same ones that didn't like Barricade.

You're also comparing a movie character to a Prime character, who are bound to have different fans.

Honestly that's the big reason these G1ified ones suck so much, every line is becoming more and more G1 and theres not much else. The movie reboot is more G1 with barely any new Bay figures for the fans of that, Cyberverse is G1 derivative I dont care what you say, and Generations has barely been plural till now and then this happens

 

Today’s reveals have lowered my expectations for the entire legacy lineup about 90%  

 

Yeah, it's just INCREDIBLY frustrating because I feel like the TF team has been good about listening, for the most part, but this is just not it.

Like, even Beast Wars got some of the BEST representations of those characters, some, I'd argue, are better than their Masterpieces for the most part, but Prime? Nah, just make them look almost nothing like the character.

That's another thing that upsets me about Bulkhead; that's clearly movie Hound-inspired, not "Prime Bulkhead" like the stupid description says.

I REALLY hope Friday doesn't become a big ol' bust for me, because right now, I am SOUR.

 

Well if the wave breakdowns are right, the only non-G1 things we'll see are Arcee and Laser Prime

 

I really think Dragon Megatron will be an organic dragon and not a Transmetal one.

 

But you see, the BW figures aren't perfect 1 for 1s...that means they didnt care about accuracy at all and this is perfectly normal!

I still have hope for Laser Prime, I just hope they dont make a GenSelects version with the faux chest changed to a grill for an Armada Prime update...its not gonna happen 99%, but that 1% scares me lol

 

It honestly come down to Arcee for now; Knock Out and Armada Starscream are later, so I have to find at least ONE non-G1 figure to like.

 

Seeing as Road Rocket is one of the leaks it's possible Arcee will look like him.

 

It's a definite.
