If say the proportions were changed for the Bulkhead, I would be fine with it, image a bigger front and shorter rear, which would translate into a more fat guy look that is a staple of Bulkhead. Look yall, this bulkhead problem isnt its vehicle mode, the problem is that they took a character that was supposed to be chubby looking and make them into a more bodybuilder look. No matter what the vehicle mode is, the character still needs the fat guy look to feel like Bulkhead, Lugnut's two other toys showed his character perfectly, since his designs central point, the area with the most surface area, is his bulker upper body. This new Bulkhead's proportions are better for a character like Lugnut or RoadBuster rather then Bulkhead

Is every yellow sports car bumblebee?

Say it over and over, it’s still wrong. Bulkhead is not a generic green military truck.

That and said 3rd party figures attempt to be closer to what they intend to than if this guy was to Prime Bulkhead, reimagining or 1:1.

Both looking unusually blocky and cyberverse-ish....but I can\'t help but love them. Feels like its been awhile since we\'ve gotten some classic carbots I\'ve felt excited about.
Also, as my two cents, I love how they took unconventional inspiration from Animated/Prime Bulkhead. Haven\'t seen a G1-ified version of any animated characters, and that seems like a genuine breath of fresh air.

Bold accusation after only seeing two toys

I and many people don't want to pay $450 for the first edition one, the RID one isn't greatly priced either

Good observation, Heatwave retool of this mold when?
I completely agree with the entire statement
    I feel voilated

I like Bulkhead's new vehicle mode, but if Legacy is actually "we're still only doing G1 but using heads from later on in the franchise" then I'm significantly less interested. I thought I might finally get my hands on a Prime Arcee after all this time, bit uh, not if it's just G1 Arcee in blue. Or a motorcycle made of boxes. I'm trying to get rid of my Cybertron Ransack, not add another one.

Marketability. If they successfully turn Bulkhead's "G1 identity" into a retool/pretool of another character, that's 2 products from 1 mold every time, like how G1 Barricade has become the evil Prowl repaint. And it makes sense to have a character in the same continuity family with the same aesthetic. Hasbro is clearly throwing most of their eggs into the G1 basket at this point, so bringing in old characters, giving them a G1 coat of paint, and then treating them like they were part of the core cast means more characters to sell toys of. Another G1-oriented line? Gotta have your favorite G1 characters like Bulkhead, Windblade, or Barricade to round out the cast!

Wow, I wasn't figuring on a pre-Pulsecon reveal! Skids looks pretty good, a little hollow, but I'm not really complaining. Bulkhead is...interesting. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. As both a Prime and Animated fan, I do wish they had leaned more towards either of those designs, but it is what it is, and I'll definitely still be getting it, tho I hope they don't do this with the other Prime figures that are listed. Kinda reminds me of TFEW Huffer/Pipes.

Not what I was expecting for a \"prime\" Bulkhead, but I\'m honestly really digging the design. The figure is very clearly not the design from the aligned continuity, but pulls from a lot of clear inspiration from across the franchise and the character\'s history. There\'s a bit of prime, a bit of animated, and even some movie hound( who was obviously inspired by Bulkhead in the first place.) This really harkens back to what generations as a line was before combiner wars, updated takes on classic characters. I\'m definitely very interested to see what other prime characters that are rumored for the line may turn out.

And Skids is definitely a G1 Skids. I\'d say the most interesting thing, to me, about the mold is that it doesn\'t appear to be a retool of JP93 as was speculated. All in all these reveals definitely have me interested to see the rest of legacy.

I'm not at all opposed to generations figures of Animated or Prime etc., Kingdom has proven we can have good generations updates of other tf universe characters that fit into the current aesthetic. It's just that this Bulkhead seems so lazy and half-assed.

There's bound to have been a thousand of other ways for designing a better generations Bulkhead that pleases the entire fanbase.

Is that really the issue, my issue is that the robot mode doesnt look like Bulkhead, it has a bodybuilder body, heavy upper body and smaller lower body. While Bulkhead's

I'm thrilled about this Skids! As much as I loved his T30 figure, I'd always wanted a more G1-styled version (because I was one of those weirdos that loved Skids growing up during G1/G2), and between this and the MP version it feels like my cup runneth over.

Bulkhead I admit I'm torn about - I think he looks good, but I know he's a little closer to his Prime version than the Animated one, and since I never got much into Prime, I might skip on this one. Nice looking toy though, and if I was more into TFP I think I'd be more excited.

The Legacy version is so hollow it makes me want to buy the MP! Maybe that was the strategy?
