Fair enough. When I was a small child I got obsessed with dinosaurs and my favourite ancient reptile (as Pterosaurs aren’t technically dinosaurs) we’re Pterosaurs. That coincided with getting into transformers and thus my love for Swoop was born! Istill love him. Need a new SS86 one to go with my (admittedly kind of bad) POTP version.


Speaking of Dinobots, we need core class versions of them.

That is pretty much a guarantee. They released a toy colored Gen Selects Galvatron with actual stickers to for it. A red Swoop is a no brainer.

 

I'd gladly take some Junior Dinobots an Anklyosaurus, a Parasaurolophus, and a Pachycephalosaurus please.

 

That's a damn good point. This is Hasbro we're talking about and didn't both of the G1 versions share the same mold (I don't feel like digging through my G1 bin for confirmation)? The legs in alt-mode might be a little more stocky to balance out having a longer neck and tail. But the torso will be the same (minus the colors).

Don't know why this didn't dawn on me before, although it could still most likely be a great figure.

This is probably why they've been dragging their feet on making and releasing a G1 version. They know it could possibly eat this movie version's lunch. But if Hasbro's listening. A G1 Fallen would be greatly appreciated by many as well.

 

I'm just a bit weird when I comes to the Dinobots. I hate the red head that the cartoon gave Slag (so glad Nonnef made a replacement head) and I hate the blue chest on Swoop. Makes the both of them look out of place for different reasons. It's not toon accurate, but I'm ok with Swoop being smaller than the others, so I may stick with my modded POTP red Swoop unless there's a solution for the new one like how Nonnef provided a black head for Slag.

I don't know about that... They didn't repeat Selects Stepper even though a new Jazz mold and a line featuring Targetmasters exist for him, not to mention a new Artfire to display alongside him, so I don't see them repeating the Selects Red Swoop who came out alongside Stepper.

 

Was kinda hoping they'd do Sludge as a Commander, Snarl as a Leader and Swoop as a Voyager... but I'm not going to complain (and I didn't really expect them to do that anyway)! A big Sludge of any kind is infinitely preferable to the teeny POTP version, so I'm excited about this.

Back to hoping that the next Commander is the even-more-unlikely Broadside, haha. I like setting myself up for disappointment.

I would've bet money it was the movie version, but a small part of me had still been foolishly hoping it was the Dreamwave version of the Fallen. Oh well.
