Here is an explanation for those wondering why the last/most recent waves of Transformers WFC Trilogy: Kingdom, Studio Series, and Cyberverse keep getting pushed back.

As of October 16, 2021 the port of Los Angeles is experiencing the worst congestion of cargo/container ships in its harbor, with approximately 3 to 4 dozen container ships waiting to unload their cargo.

Shipping disruption: Why are so many queuing to get to the US?

This has been the result primarily of truck drivers quitting their jobs due to a combination of low paychecks, long hours, and suffering from severe fatigue, which in addition to the cargo ships getting stuck off shore, has also lead to shortages of consumer products on store shelves.

Shortage Of Truck Drivers A Leading Cause Behind Supply Chain Issues

I wanted to share this with those who do not keep up with the news to explain the main reasons why Transformers action figures that were scheduled for release during October or November of 2021 are being pushed back to later dates. There is hope with Shadow Panther and Waspinator appearing on the shelves of Target and Walmart stores, but unfortunately there are no guarantees.

This news might sound irrelevant to the availability of Transformers action figures, but considering that products known as "necessities" (i.e. toilet paper, chicken meat, coffee, etc.) are getting really hard to find due to the shortage of truck drivers, I'd prepare to face the reality that stores such as Target and Walmart will put necessities above a non-essential product such as Transformers action figures.

I have had to cancel some of the Transformers I pre-ordered from Amazon, due to having to use my money for food instead. This will hopefully not effect most Transformers collectors. but for those wondering why it has been taking so long for Walmart and Target to get restocked, this is one of the main reasons.

Please politely share if your Transformers collecting has, in one way or another, been effected by these events.

I have several Transformers figures on preorder like Waspinator, Tigatron, and hope to get a Kingdom Red Alert. I've also got some Beast Box figures that have hit every online retailer except BBTS, so I can assume this has something to do with those.

Eh, transformers are a very non essential item tbh. I’m fine to wait some more time then usual for them.

This is why a lot of items on BBTS are being pushed back frequently...

These idiots would rather clog up the entire port than pay people.

I don't really mind delays, as long as the come eventually. I already have so many transformers, it's not the end of the world if the latest addition isn't here yet.

My biggest complaint with supply issues is when some products just aren't available in my country. For example, the Buzzworthy Bumblebee world's collide four-pack, or the Ravage two pack. You just haven't been able to get them in the UK yet.

And yet both Walmarts I visited today are overflowing with brand new Christmas decoration merchandise and Halloween candy and costumes and crap like that. Like multiple aisles of it. My Spidey-sense is tingling…

Must be the sugar-high…haha. Seriously, though, I just thought it was interesting how they are able to provide such massive volumes of totally unnecessary garbage despite the “critical shipping shortages”.

Just seemed to lean a bit conspiracy-ey from my reading of it. But yeah who knows what’s going on tbh.

This stuff is often stored in massive warehouses of overstock.

Candy at least is usually made on the continent, so it won't be going through the ports anyways.

My walmart keeps seasonal stuff in shipping containers behind the store. Annoys the hell out of me. They put the pool supplies up like you don't need to take care of your pool other then the warm months. Hell its October and in the high 70s I still need to chlorinated the damn thing and they locking all that stuff away till spring.

That's one small element contributing to a much larger issue that has snowballed through the entire supply chain.

And just because people see stuff in a store, it doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist. Maybe that one container of product made it through the port. Christmas stuff is also often shipped early, and they may have shipped it even earlier this year to make sure it was here on time.

Like...this isn't a single source news article. This is absolutely a reality that can be corroborated by anybody who works in business, logistics, retail, or just reads the news every once in a while.

Holiday merchandise arrives at the warehouse months and months ahead of time, and candy is made here and doesn't need to be shipped by boat.

The article says it's a leading cause. These staff problems are easily solved.
