Specifically Hello Carbot Season 1, a Korean toyline by Sonokong from 2014. The reason you're seeing them now is because a Chinese company called MAGQOO licensed it for Mainland China last year. However, most Korean IPs that get licensed there tend to get KOs so watch out for those. MAGQOO's logo is the top-rightmost in the pic.

I just want a small des devy without pay $400 so I was wondering about quality.

 

It's the same molds that MFT's KOs used, and using standard ABS plastic too. The possible issues would be the QC/workmanship and mold wear, it's a supermarket retail item so they don't put much effort into it.

The individual figures are small enough. They don't scale too well with MFT. There's also no guns for the figures. QC isn't the greatest. On my one the pin to hold Hook's crane in place is a bit crooked but doesn't impact transformation. They're fun to mess with and hold together decently in Devestator mode. I actually think the set represents decent value for money being that it's so dirt cheap. I got it for less than $20 on Aliexpress.

You can also consider the WeiJiang and YueXing OSKO's. Think WJ is 25cm, YX is 23cm.

I'm not sure about BHX quality, but I'm guessing these are better. Maybe those with all 3 can chime in.

Do it. I paid $18 for it and it's totally worth it. Mine has nothing really wrong QC wise. Plastic is decent and my joints are all tight.

They are really fun bots to mess with at my desk while working. I love the hell out of mine for $3 each, lol. I thought it was going to be garbage, but the BHX is actually pretty damn nice.

Not at all. I thought the same when I ordered it and was very pleasantly surprised. The only minor gripe I have is that the outward shoulder joints are very loose in combined mode, but quite frankly the arms are heavy enough that they would have had to reengineer it with ratchets for the outward motion to be worth a damn anyway, so it's kind of a meaningless complaint.

 

Does anybody own this specific brand/version of KO optimus pen? How is it, in terms of quality, simplification, etc?
