    A) Maybe. When people receive it depends on the shipping method.
    B) Not sure but I doubt TFS Express has some exclusive right to get stock first.
    C) It appears retailers will offer their usual shipping options for new buyers but if you are a V1 owner waiting for a TFS-E shipped replacement it's on the slow boat.
    D) If you had a refund you're basically a new buyer if you didn't then depending on the retailer it could be slow to get to you. Basically see above.
    E) The argument seems to be that some strange folks seem to believe that if you currently own a pile of trash V1 you should still be happy with how XTB has handled the whole debacle. That's despite the fact V1 owners will often be the last people to receive a V2.

    Hmm. Thank you.

Yeah, that’s silly. I don’t trust any TF company and least of all one with the QC reputation of XTB. You’d have to be awfully naive to believe that BS about them being duped by a shady factory who shipped a ton of slipshod Locke’s under their noses without them knowing. They probably expected some backlash when doing a cost-benefit analysis but not one so universal as the one they got and had to backtrack and improvise.

I can’t think of any MP figure from a major 3P company so thoroughly, completely and instantaneously reviled from a QC standpoint. When literally no one has a clean copy, it’s a mold/design flaw.

My guess is that they got told by retailers to fix this item specifically and their reputation in general or that they won’t order any more supply of future items because dealing with customers returning defects and wanting refunds is a major hassle.

I have no faith in them at all. When they did their metallic re-issues of Blaster and Octane they used the same boxes from
four-five years ago. They didn’t even bother to change the text. How cheap/lazy is that? And the Octanes had loose feet/ankles. I bet their new Apeface/Snapdragon will be in the same boxes too.

The company will continues to let us down, I fear.

Pretty much yep. Not sure if they felt the pressure from retailers so much as Locke was the PR straw that broke the camel's back after a few other issues. Either way it doesn't really matter I guess; if they want anyone who bought V1 to buy future XTB products going forward they need to prove they can fix the whole thing basically - hence whilst there have been many product announcements nothing else has actually released untill V2 gets out there.

Maybe they can recover; I'd hope they can, I don't hate XTB that's for sure and having more companies producing good options is better for us as consumers. But if they do a terrible job none of us should cut them any slack; especially when we're stuck with junk and XTB/the retailers have the money.

I agree about those other products; XTB have hardly demonstrated that they can/will consistently release quality stuff. We all get suckered in by the few things they do well though (the Scourge repaint was pretty good, some of their carbots are very solid as recent examples). They always have great looking renders/sculpts so it's easy to want their products to turn out as quality and want to roll the dice; just Locke has been too far for most this time.

That's great news. Awesome to see TFS-E/Omegalock doing the right thing.

Seems to be you that has the problem going off on people expressing a view that does not tally with yours to the point you feel the need to degrade them on a public forum.

Why all the aggressiveness and intolerance?

I just hope Mk2 is a vast improvement on Mk1.

I hope Omegalock are diligent with cross checking who actually ordered a v1, because by setting up a listing like that I have no doubt there will be some people who didn't buy a v1 but will try ordering a free v2 anyway.

They ought to require the order reference listed on our accounts that relates to the V1 balance payment as proof of the purchase. Or something like that.

Based on what TFS-Express said regarding theirs, I assume it's a prerequisite. Login details still work on the UK site, so there's no reason people can't find the reference number for the order.

I expect that Omegalock won't post any v2 that doesn't have the order number

Only just saw the Omegalock announcement on FB. Fair play to them for doing it. I certainly wouldn't have judged them harshly if they hadn't carried the financial can for XTB's decision, but I'll be happy to get the replacement earlier all the same.

Only just noticed this, as is didn't show clearly in previous pics or videos, but if that photo is accurate they've only gone and painted the abs the wrong colour...

Should be the same as the thighs etc, but they appear to have painted them the same as the new windshield colour. Why do they find this stuff so hard?!

I agree with most of what you said but Daca Kronos and Omnigonix Spinout both say hi. Both of these figures were at least as bad as Locke V1 (not that I’m defending that POS either), but since both of those companies were garage operations you were even more SOL than V1 Locke buyers.

I’m very curious how Locke V2 turns out. Not enough to PO one without seeing extensive reviews, but I have a V1 Koot and transforming it is absolute hell.

I feel like Fanstoys is the only G1 MP company who actually tries to have near flawless paint apps. With Takara, XTB, MMC, DX9, and TE/DS I'm always able to spot imperfections here and there that often drive me up the wall. Whereas with Fanstoys, the only imperfections I've ever seen were from chipping after the fact, which can typically be avoided if you're really careful.

Looking at my Koot right now, the absolute flawlessness of his paint apps (and no little blemishes in the plastic itself either) definitely makes me reluctant to replace him, even if I really love Locke's design. Fanstoys just gets my OCD, I guess is the best way to put it.

yeah one thing they do really well is paint , every figure i own is flawless apart from some of the dinobots with the hairlines over most the chrome which is only really visable in pictures or looking really close

My Hoodlum, Quietus, Sovereign, Hunk and Rouge all had fairly noticeable paint issues out of the box, so FT figures aren't exempt any more than other companies. It's just luck of the draw with this stuff.
