not to mention a lot of over-engineering being involved at that-

I mean, hasbro already DID this figure. This one's mostly a copy, remember? And it looks best when it cheats with a partsforming backpack.

that is true, buy at the moment the chest is to bulky with all the additional car stored there. that could be less.

Not saying that the figure doesn't look great, but I highly disagree with this. An MPM in like 25 years would have Masterpiece level detailing, and a more complex transformation. This guy is just a Studio Series voyager with a couple of modifications. Also, some parts of this figure (specifically the backpack) is cheating considering all the parts forming, so it might be an unfair comparison if that's included. This guy does look great, but he's far from perfect, he's a bit lankier than he should be, but these proportional issues won't be as apparent until we actually get a better version. I will say, this guy will more than likely be better painted than the MPM.

And I doubt the eventual MPM would top it.

Well, I personally don’t have faith in HasTak to produce something better.
Other 3P might make something nicer, but I would predict most of it will be better than Hasbro.

And I base this off MPM Bee Movie Optimus.

And I will be happy to be wrong.

I mean, OK I can't argue for something that doesn't exist, but the eventual MPM (that we might never get) will at least not be a major partsformer, and there's actually a chance it will scale with things I own, so I'll wait for that. Not to mention the fact that bashing a theoretical hasbro product for not being as good a thing they essentially made is pretty silly.

Man, I hate Yanwen. Mine's just sitting in Dallas since Friday. YunExpress all the way. Everytime I have something shipped Yanwen, it takes some insane route.

No more silly than saying how good said theoretical product (that may never happen) will turn out.

Yes but there's an actual argument for why said figure can be better than this KO. Because this optional parts forming KO is literally a mainline product, something HASBRO has already made lol. If you're basing things off MPM 12, aside from the crappy truck mode, MPM 12 is way more accurate to the CGI than SS-38 or any of the SS KO's. Same the Studio series Starscream KO, better, less kibbly jet on the SS and SS KO, but the MPM destroys them in terms of accuracy in robot mode. Going off by that, if anything we could expect a more kibbly fire truck, but a more detailed and accurate robot mode

Either way, this argument is pretty pointless considering that the Bayverse MPM's have only covered Movie 1, haven't even got to Movie 2, much less Movie 3. The only reason I would assume the BB MPM's are getting made is to ride the hype of new movies and designs, no Bayverse characters have gotten that treatment yet from Movie 1 or 2. No reason to start speculation on a figure that probably won't exist for the next decade or two

Thanks for reminding me of another disappointing MPM to base my speculation on.

Let’s not kid ourselves: this parts forming is very optional, and if the MPM wants to achieve what this figure does then it too will have to parts form.

Same will go for Bonecrusher, if it ever happens.

If there is an eventual MPM of Sentinel, I doubt it would top this ko. Again, I’ll be happy to be wrong.

What about someone like UT making it? They made Galvatron so Sentinel shouldn’t be that hard for them.

I would have loved it more if the partsforming roof would have been the shield..
and if I had choices in the design with Sentinel, the chest could be better and I would love to colapse the legs in at the knee, making him shorter and more acurate.. that said I am honestly Impressed with the guy, he is decent.

And for Bonecrusher, I do love the TF-dreamfactory one (god-09 i think it is?)

I said earlier that 3P could top this. UT could do this in their sleep.

I've sent ShowZ a message, so hopefully they'll get back to me or there'll be a tracking update. Until then, I'll just have to tell myself he's stuck on the moon with the pillars, waiting to be revived :(

I'm no Bay-verse fan and have limited my collection to the 2007 Autobots only but even I think this is pretty rad and if not for other priorities I'd be all over this as just a great one-off figure.

I didn't say it would be good. I just said your argument for assuming it would be bad makes no sense. I agree with @Sayan Rahman 's take on it.

Kinda seems that way to me:

You’re already predicting that it won’t parts form.

Nobody waits for something to come along because they think it won’t be good.

I swore I wouldn't get any bayverse transformers anymore but I finally gave in. 1st time ordering from ShowZ. I picked express. Let's see how fast (or not) Sentinel Prime gets here to the Northeast (US). In the meantime, please post more pics please!

Mine seems to have landed in the UK today, spoke to show.z and they said to select UBI as the carrier and were good enough to send a screenshot of the tracking. Can't seem to do that on the 17track app.

Edit: OK found how to do that change of courier on the app, I can now see all the steps it's taken on the way, maybe why tracking seems to show nothing for ages!

Edit 2: can now see some others that are in transit as well
