Mostly colour changes with each release but I think the Bruticus leg connectors weren’t as solid as Superion on the first run.

Mostly solid for first runs but they also later added Ab fillers for Constructor and he and Bruticus got a 2nd head option after release that they also made available for purchase separately.

Thanks. Sounds pretty minor. I could see how some slight color changes could make the individual bots more cartoon accurate, but assuming the color images they've shown for the combined mode are what they're still going with, the combined mode will likely have the color scheme I'd want first time around.

It's a good idea. I like it when they design the big heavy bots with a couple silcon or rubber grips on the soles. It really helps prevent the figure from doing a split or cart wheel off your shelf.

What’s Constructor got to do with this? The person was asking about ZETA. You’re not even allowed to mention TW in this thread without retribution.

TW and Zeta are just having a small disagreement! Any day now they’re gonna recombine and finally release some new, weird colours for Constructor!

So, have we figured out why Zeta continues to try and piss in Takara-Tomy's Cheerios? This is now the second time they've decided "oh, you're making this? So are we!" and I would've thought Unicron/HasLab was enough but no. Here comes Raiden and his "counterpart".

Don't get me wrong, I'm going Zeta, but two big projects, two big "haw haw screw you!" moments now.

Part of me wants to say it's an ex-employee or something of that nature. It could be mere coincidence but dang...

I think both projects were characters they thought were obscure enough to stay out of everyone’s lane. Unfortunately, they jumped in front the Takara Express. Just my theory.

I think Takara has projects stored up for a rainy day. When a 3rd party says, "Look what we are making!" TT opens up their closets and responds in hopes of the 3rd party backing off because of the potential of a lawsuit.

I would want a Zeta Defensor announced before I get too invested into X-Transbots Defensor.

I think it is more because Trains are big and should be at least as tall as MP-10 if not bigger.

With Unicron I feel like they had theirs in the process of making molds, dollar committed, when the HasLab one was announced. Their choices were to either step on HasLab's announcement or sit on it and hope for the best about people buying theirs after they already had HasLab.

With Raiden Zeta announced theirs something like 6 months before Takara did.

Yes, I agree with you about Unicron because Zeta already had prototypes ready to show. I think they were caught in a difficult position with the HasLab crowdfunding and decided to unveil it to present it as an alternative for anyone turned off by the price or the transformation of the official one.

And for all the whopping and hollering from the Hasbro crowd, who saw Zeta’s withdrawal of Studio Cell as the beginning of the Apocalypse of 3rd party, they ended up faring pretty well.

Exactly. This one was more bad timing, than their immature “showy-ness”.

    A) I have zero connection to the characters, and B) I think transforming into a train is **tarded, but, damn, those are some fine looking bots. I might actually pick them up - IF IF IF the final combiner doesn't look too Power-Rangersy, or have a total color-clash that makes by retinas weep.

They seem to enjoy doing that...

Well, that's kind of petty, kind of funny, then.

I didn't know about the 6 month thing, my bad. Makes more sense, then. It's just bad timing, then. Gosh, they really do suck at that, don't they? (Both sides.)

After having Zeta's Pumpkin Unicron in hand, I'm absolutely on board for their Raiden. If they can pull off his quality on all 6 figures, Zeta's going nowhere.

Is this guy going to be a pantsformer? As in, the robots form the limbs and parts of the torso, but the torso is a separate piece with a pelvis and thighs. Or is this guy more like Zeta's Predaking, that has the individual figures forming most of the combiner form, except for add-on hands and feet?
