I wont use TF-Direct again, had the same thing happen, back and forth between shipper and the US over and over, not worth the hassle.

 

It seems like a lot more people are having negative experiences with them lately. Someone mentioned some internal changes with them and there has been problems with service since then. I got a bot with missing parts from them and was a bit of a struggle to explain things to them and they tried to brush it off, then offer $10 credit, then finally agreed to get me the parts acting as if it was a miscommunication at first. Not sure what to think or expect, but they've gone downhill and I think a lot of people should reconsider shopping with them to avoid hassle. I dont plan to shop there anymore.

I'm already jonezing for their Thundercracker and Skywarp... but on Thundercracker, I really hope that DS darkens the chest-vents and doesn't leave them light grey.

 

I remember reading on one of the threads (maybe the WeiJiang seizure and sentencing thread) that both elements were true. Sometimes, rejects are pawned off as KOs... other times another developer/manufacturer copies designs, or works with rogue Takara staff.

On a related note... have you guys seen the pictures of all the trashed Quakewaves? I remember seeing the pictures a few years ago and thinking to myself... I'd take any one of those!

 

If it is the same batch of Quakewaves I remember it was FT's first attempt at a translucent Quakewave. They weren't happy with the quality of them for some reason (my guess would be the translucent plastic breaking on the leg transformation given how much force was needed). I didn't see pictures but I did watch the video of them destroying them a couple of times.

KOs are very often made on the '3rd shift'. Basically, they'll do the official run, and then they'll have an extra shift thst runs additional units that are 'off the books'.

That really applies to straight KO goods though, probably not so much the common 3rd Party KOs that often have slightly tweaked molds.

 

Finally took this guy out of the brown shipper box and right off the rip, this has to be the highest quality feeling box of any Transformer, third party or otherwise, I've ever held. This should be the standard.  

 

Anyone know if Toyhax has done a set of G1 toy style Stickers? I’d love to see one of these bad boys decked out in G1 toy like stickery goodness.

 

they have a set for mp-11, dunno if you can modify them to fit Crimson wing to a degree. CW is a new bot & TH doesn't even have a set for MP-52 yet.

Man he looks good with Fanstoys Reflector. I actually have the Maketoys AND the KFC version of Reflector on the way to me. I couldn't decide which I liked best. I also have Purple Potato Shockwave en route. Once I find a Soundwave I like, and of course Thundercracker and Skywarp, my Decepticon collection will be complete. I'm just collecting the Cons from the first three episodes.

 

Coming up on a month and still no reply from Terry on my missing part. Last dollar of mine he's ever getting.

Any of you guys doing these 3d printed parts want to make me a replacement for those little pop-out wing tabs?

 

Same here with ShowZ, really disappointed with them on this. They’ve always been so responsive and helpful in the past so it’s odd to have them snub me. Maybe we can commission @transformer_78 to make the parts we need. Your pop out tabs would probably be pretty simple. I need wing flaps and their hinges so mine might not be as doable.

 

ive been waiting for a response from him on a different issue, i think i might just switch back to show z as my main even if it does take a little longer to recieve the goods

 

Maybe this hadn't been covered here. But as a company that's part of(or renamed) TE/BMB/etc they are not good at promptly responding to parts requests. Show.z got me my TE mirage parts, but it took a good 6 months. Retailers can't pull answers out of their hineys

 

I can't speak specifically for Terry's but ShowZ has been pretty good. I've come to accept though no matter the china store these things take longer with them anyway, throw in a week long vacation for them and it seems to add another month on the issue, and also specifically with ShowZ right now they decided to make some internal changes to better things which then resulted in Jane their after sales person leaving or being let go so add another month. Seriously I asked about parts a couple weeks ago and was told to give it a month. So you gotta be patient anyway but if anything creates a hang up it adds a lot of time but seems to work out.

I've heard this too, as big as BMB is with so many brands under their name, they are not the best to work with for getting parts. The parts will be acquired but it adds more time on an already slow system. Its definitely frustrating but I haven't heard anyone say they didnt get their parts but it was much longer than with other companies.

On a separate note but BMB related, IT-01 is FINALLY incoming at ShowZ! Hopefully I get a good one and dont have any issues to deal with.

 

Eh, it's Bobby, he has odd takes now and then, and before I watched the video I already assumed he likes Maketoys more. Fortunately opinions of others do not take away my own individual enjoyment.
