I built this one----instructions are free. LEGO MOC TAS Batmobile by jerrybuildsbricks | Rebrickable - Build with LEGO
Oh wow! I was looking at your stuff last night! I liked that V3 89 Batmobile you came up with. There's just something about the 89 car. I'm also thinking about starting with this Corvette and adding to the front and back. LEGO MOC '69 Corvette by legocarreplicas | Rebrickable - Build with LEGO
This guy has a ton of cool Lego replicas of various Batmobiles. I just discovered him earlier today. His instructions all cost though MOCs Designed by Gervant_Riviiskiy | Rebrickable - Build with LEGO
I'm hoping Lego will eventually make a minifig-scale TAS Batmobile, to go with the '66, '89, Tumbler, etc.
I meant that I literally built it, (and can thus recommend it as being a good one) not that I designed it. I'm not Jerry.
Meh. I have no interest in modern TV sitcom sets. Get back to me when it's The Munsters. Pretty "meh" on the Jazz one, too. But, I recognize these (and most Lego sets) aren't always going to be something I want. I think I get about 15 sets a year, they make a few hundred varieties.
Any thoughts on the Technic Liebherr 9800? I'm a bit tempted to buy and build a giant technic set and the new bulldozer seems less exciting.
If you get it at a decent discount and can live with the fact that you don’t get a remote to control it but an app that Lego could shout down at any time render your set functionless it is a good set.
I built it when it first came out it's quite a cool set. One thing to be wary of, though, is that unless they've updated the control app in the two years since it came out you have to have all motors connected to the control hubs in order to carry out the test phases, even when you've not actually used them in the build. It seems (or seemed at the time) that it determined which hub to control based on which motors were connected, rather than by dedicated pairing; it makes setup simpler, but means it can't identify the hubs if they don't have their final configurations. I did actually email Lego about this as a problem, perhaps others did, too; they may have changed the app to make it testable at the points the instructions say to test it.
I had a good day picking blind bags today! Bought 8, only one duplicate. I’m 10/12 of the way there! Side note: could there be any more characters with shields this wave?!
I’ve been going back and forth on it in my head for a couple weeks now but I think I’m going to pass on the UCS Tumbler reissue. It’s like $373 in Canada after tax. Which is fucked up because: 89 Batmobile is $250 USD and $300 CDN Tumbler is $230 USD and $330 CDN The crazier thing it the 89 is larger, has like 1000 + more pieces and 3 minifigs. Plus I got the free minifig Batmobile with it. It’s just bananas. I even emailed LEGO and all I got was the basic corporate response. So yeah man, gonna pass.
New Lego Art Project is now up for pre-order. Art Project - Create Together 21226 | Art | Buy online at the Official LEGO® Shop US Also, they have an offer for VIP of a free "Rebuildable Flying Car gift for VIPs with purchase over $120, valid 10/18-10/24." Which sucks since this set is $119.99.
Figures today we'd have a GWP..I just ordered the Gingerbread House and Fender sets last night for Christmas gifts
