Sainsbury’s are weird for toys, I’ve seen them heavily discount Lego, LOL, and other brands that usually don’t get price reductions, and I’ve also seen them run 3 for 2 sales at Christmas including those items. (My nephew loved Lego and was able to get him loads of Ninjago a few years back). But I’ve also seen them selling things way higher than other stores, so it’s an odd pricing structure. Having worked at Argos, and with a few people I know still working there the structure was always about holding minimum stock, random selections, and rapid turnover of deliveries. Not sure how that will be now they have basically become a pick up point at Sainsbury’s though

Just caught up with the thread after not reading for 48 hours or so; sorry if I was stingy with the Likes, we're not all as generous as barry or doucoo I'm afraid :D  I do think you're all pretty great though!

Anyone with MP08 Grimlock, can you tell me if he can be forced into a modern realistic dinosaur pose at all? i.e. a T-shape, where the tail counterbalances the neck, rather than the Godzilla-style upright pose? I am still mulling over what my ultimate Dinobot lineup might be, and while Cacus looks utterly magnificent he is also pretty hefty which would limit my choices when filling the rest of the gang out, especially as I'd want Sludge to be the tallest.

That survey- was that the one that had the picture of Optimus Prime without the faceplate at the end?

Can anyone do a side by side of Kingdom Galvatron with a RED figure? Preferably Megatron, but not essential

He can quite happily not look quite so lumbering, but the tail is always going to point up so he's a little bit banana-y. He'll happily balance in whatever pose, even with his head practically touching the ground. Thanks for asking the question - you've reminded me how much I enjoy this figure! This one is the original Takara one - and is SO MUCH tighter than the Hasbro one that has sat on my desk at work for the last few years...

Perfect, thank you! I have already found that he'll look pretty great in my IDW1-heavy CHUG collection in robot mode, being just a bit taller eyeline-wise than old Leaders like CW Ultra Magnus and T30 Jetfire. Now I know he'd also look good enough in alt mode :)

He can make a T Shape, but it’s not remotely realistic looking compared to say Kingdom Megatron, and he’s not especially accurate either but I’m basing this on my knowing several Tyrannosaur workers and Palaeoartists who’ve worked on them so at a glance it’s not awful, but it’s not what I can call especially “realistic” either…..

This week's Dark Side of the Ring made me tear up a bit which is a first and kind of unexpected as I usually don't get like that unless it was someone I had a personal connection with.

Mick Foley's eulogy for Luna that he read at the end was what did it. He's a great speaker and genuinely too nice for a sleazy business. Love the guy.

Ooof tough one. I'd probably wait for an MP 52 reissue and reviews that at least guarantee a better fit than the first release.

    My reasons are threefold...

    1) I enjoy a wholesome release--meaning I really like when a figure comes with all the extra parts, stands, blast effects and faces that MP52 did.
    2) I enjoy a good, fun transformation scheme, which MP52 invariably has
    3) I am loving the whole "realistic vehicle turns into very retro looking robot" aesthetic that Takara have been getting on with.

Price and curiosity for DS may swing me to get at least one of their seekers to see what it handles like, but it'd be missing points 1 and 2 from above.

Bit of smoke grey on the visor, helmet and codpiece does seem to add a nice bit of definition...

Question for the panel: does this work at all as a old-fashioned TV frame, or is it too big and heavy?

@bcm77 commiserations about the footie yesterday old bean. Of course, looking at Twitter made it seem as if Man U lost against themselves, so little attention was given to Leicester. In fact, until MotD redressed the balance the only coverage given to Leicester playing a blinder seemed to come from Leicester itself.

Swords, guns, Grimlock crown and New Brain transfer helmet

The MIB items have literally just been opened and inspected for damage then reboxed to await final display, which is now not happening in the way I'd planned.

Just whizz me a DM if you're interested in anything. I'll add another last warning message tomorrow sometime.

Among their many sins, the RED figures don't scale with any other Transformers.

I've only got the RED and Earthrise Prime's to hand, but I can say that the RED figure is nearly 1/2 an inch shorter than Earthrise Prime and not as 'bulky'. The RED line figures are more like slightly chunky Marvel Legends or Black Series figures.

Even though I'm going to get the reformatting Megatron (RED) and the reformatting Gavatron (Selects?) figures, I know there is no point standing them together.
