I have a more positive opinion about the movie after this trailer. I think this Batman and the aesthetics of the movie is so similar to Nolan's that it could feel redundant. However, if the finished movie is good, I'll be happy to see more of this iteration of the character.

Yeah, I’m still looking forward to it, but damn, a lot about that trailer just make me think of Nolan’s trilogy.

The Batman himself seems awesome, but yea, that writing of the Riddler sounds awful. "Black and blue, and dead all over?" Is the Riddler some 'edgy' 5th grader?

I think this version of Gotham looks better than Nolan's, from what little we've seen.

I like the looks of this Riddler notwithstanding but the script so far needs work. Besides that awful "riddle", "What are you underneath" "I'm Vengeance" just seemed like a narm filled exchange to me.

Also, are those Joker gang members he's fighting with the make up?

It's the hallway action shot scene that is becoming common now.

more about the bulletproof armor and the lighting being entirely from the muzzle flashes, I know what a hallway one-take is.

Pretty sure the "I'm vengeance" line is from a different scene than the "What are you underneath" line. Trailer tend to splice unrelated scenes and dialogue together to make it seem like they're from the same scene. We already heard the "I'm vengeance" line in the teaser trailer where Batman beats up those Joker-looking thugs.

Could you imagine how easy the Arkham games would be if you could just casually stroll through two automatic weapons going to town on your chest like Superman?

He's reportedly inspired by the serial killer Jigsaw.

It would be nice if his riddles could be intellectual enough to test Batman's mind. Let's see.

His traps may be, but this riddler is clearly inspired by a real serial killer.

He's based on the real life Zodiac killer who left cryptic Cyphers for police in real life in the late 60's and early 70's. He was never caught. They think they know who he was, but he died before they could prove it.

I love these kind of shots. It's dark but you can see EVERYTHING!
But be careful of how much more you want or the shot will stagnate. ;)

I'm actually bothered by the hallway shot. I prefer my batman to avoid being shot at all costs, and not stand there like Superman and just take it like it's nothing. What's the point of hiding in the shadows if you can take a barrage of bullets from 2 automatic rifles at point blank range.
