My $70 Sentinel Prime just shipped as well! Looks like the seller stuck a free tamashii stand as well which is probably a KO but still pretty sweet.


I do hope the cheaper price doesn't mean he's missing $50 worth of plastic, though.

I suppose he took it down just from the low quality- but then again, it was quite clear enough as his instructions are very concise and detailed regardless-

Just looking at pictures, I doubt the inevitable MPM could top this.

 

Got this today, can’t deny it’s pretty cool.

 

MPM would probably not be until the end of the decade at best and even years of advancements in toy technology wouldn’t hold a candle to this monster. These pics alone are incredible.

 

Would a Reprolabels set do this guy some good? That is, are there any missing or incorrect markings that Reprolabels could address?

 

I agree. We're a long way from MPM covering even the basic bases. Also, with only 1 release this year and that being an optimus I do wonder how they're feeling about the line? (I know we have promises of Blackout and maybe some others coming)

 

We got Bumblebee Prime before we got the Sentinel Prime from 3 films before.

And Bee Prime still isn’t the best.
How lacking will MPM Sentinel be?

 

Or a 3p might make sentinel, and it will probably be way better. My bet’s on UT.

JD would just be a repaint...maybe a quick redo for the face...it'll give them funds to pump out your Barricade and Bee!  

 

I hope so, TLK Bee and Cade are my favorite designs of those two and I REALLY want MPMs of them

 

I love this guy but I do see a lot of ways the figure could improve, I would love to have the old leader's way of transforming the cab with real side windows as the chest for instance, and if they were to have the shield transform out of the roof, it will still be partsforming but without leftover parts, i would orefer that even more..

That said, with Hastak's trackrecord of late with Beemovie Prime, Ratchet and especially Starscream, they are lazy and focus only on the botmode with the altmode suffering (Ratchet with way to much kibble under the car, Prime with the legs/ rear of the truck and Starscream almost completely hangung under the jet in altmode) and all 3 being to small, If Hastak will do a Sentinel in a decade or so it seems we then need to wait till a 3P party improves upon it and fixes all the errors.. giving this fella a headstart of 10-12 years..

I would love if a DNA or other company makes a shield roof combo for this figure and he will be my final Sentinel for sure... he is really that good!

I bought a leaderclass decal sheet for mine, that has a lot of missing details altrough this guy is fairly complete.
Ill look if I can find where I bought it and get back to you!

 

Somebody somewhere may be smart enough to figure out Sentinels windows for real, but the window shape in bot mode is not the same as vehicle mode. Initially i preferred the use of real windows, but I've gradually come to feel that I'd rather have the bot windows shaped correctly and that will be challenging if not outright impossible without using fakes.
