@collectorcrafts did a very nice and clean job on that chest piece! It's an excellent option for anyone with the original that didnt get the chest piece. Easy to paint and change the shade of color to your preference. I'm surprised that Zeta hasn't made the chest piece available for purchase separately and same for the upcoming metallic reissue of Armageddon. I'm glad I put off and then missed out on that one because now i finally preordered this new one.

 

Oh, if you get the metallic Kronos, you get that G1 chest plate already? I don’t need to buy it separately from this eBay guy?

 

Yeah, the new chest only comes with the metallic Superitron (Unless you get the one from ebay guy that's based on the official one)

Not sure where I read this but; the designers of Toyworld Constructor jumped ship at some point to Zeta and are the same designers of Zeta's Superion & Bruticus, correct? And they're also the same designers working on Moon Studio's Raiden, correct?

Yes, correct. I'm hoping that Raiden gets a box set and more appropriately priced for what Zetas combiners have been. For this reason I'm willing to wait and haven't preordered any of the individual bots. They will be over $600 from China sellers which is $200 more than the other combiners so we'll see.

 

Do we think there will be re-release similar to the Bruticus one releasing in December?

Great paintwork on the eyes buddy - very well done! Dumb question though - wasn't the eyes that fit into the head of the muzzle version already red? or maybe they're clear red to allow light up function? I don't own this big guy thats all.

 

I've owned both, I sold Superitron. I don't like the grey, to me the Kronos white is so much nicer, really pops. However, in vehicle mode the superitron release is clearly superior. The paint looks great, and the grey plastic hinge pieces are painted which makes a huge difference. But since I display in combined mode 100% of the time, I went with Kronos.

It would be nice to get a painted metallic version that's white instead of grey, that would be the no brainer one to own for me.

 

Re-release of metallic Superitron? It shows incoming at ShowZ so I guess its now.

 

Is this the most toon accurate version?

 

I think the original white Kronos is closer to toon colors but Zeta has moved to metallic and light gray for their production with Superitron so I think if you want a Kronos you'd have to find someone selling theirs. I'm not sure if they'd go back and reissue the original colors at this point. As someone said, it would have been nice that they kept the colors from the original but just gone metallic with them instead of changing colors all together. I posted a side by side pic of the two a page or 2 back and you can see the difference there. It's not drastic so metallic was what I went with and have been real happy with it. It was within acceptable range to still look the part of the toon but no doubt is different.

After looking at many pics, like most of the cartoon, the animation is all over the place so now my answer is both are more toon accurate. I guess it's up to you on what you like more.

 

Finally got mine glad I waited. Probably get their Bruticus redeco too.

 

gotta wonder if Zeta have plans to do a metallic with white instead of grey.....
