Yeah Ollie’s seems to be the one still holding on being discounters. Big Lots charges almost retail for anything they have these days. I saw Power Rangers LC figs at Ross and they were 14.99 which isn’t too much off retail. I did get grief on a Marvel board the other week with the reveal of that ML 20th Cap. People adored him then they saw the price. I buy Japanese figures and he comes with more stuff than Figuarts or a Figma and got lambasted for saying the price wasn’t bad compared to what those cost.

I’m going on a road trip again in the next few days. Looks like lots of Ollies on my path but I’m probably way too late. I never saw that wave in stores with Trailbreaker or Sunstreaker last year or the ER Megatron and Quintesson wave either. Also was bad timing with my both my jobs shut down so running across those would be awesome. Or hopefully they knock the prices down a bit. $50-65 for Sunstreaker is nuts.

 

If it's in the ad you have a day to get to the store. From what I've seen, near me, everything that isn't bulk items is bought up.

I'd love to rack it all up to scalpers, because they suck and will rot in the deepest depths of hell, but from what I've seen ollie's gets random boxes. 30+ grapples and 2 SS for this store then opposite the next. I'm lucky in that I have an ollie's in every direction of me 30 miles and each got a different figure. Unfortunately, Allie and arcee, the only two I wanted, never got to any of them.

Which reminds me, anyone who wants to trade SS for Allie or arcee, hmu.

You should be able to get Sunstreaker for around $35 via a 3rd party on Amazon with 9k+ ratings fulfilled via Amazon. Trailbreaker can also be picked up there for $35 (the most reputable 3rd seller is Toy Planet fulfilled by Amazon).

Earthrise Megatron has price creep everywhere (e.g. it's $39.99 at BBTS) but, Amazon (sold & shipped by Amazon) randomly had it for MSRP recently.

 

Anyone looking for the Allspark Tech starter sets, LOL. My Ollies put out massive amounts this morning, but no restock to the WFC/SS figures, and still no Hyper Real Vaders even though they claim they have them.

Also, I noticed some of the unusual suspects who in years past get some hot items, like Burlington getting some of the Combiner Wars sets, more and more are moving to third party/knockoff companies, as the local Burlington is overflowing with weird figure and doll sets.

 

I think there is reason to believe they may have the Vaders in stock and be holding them until next week's ad. Each time Transformers have been in the Ollie's ad this year someone has reported seeing the figures early. I know it happened with Earthrise Optimus and Trailbreaker was being sighted before this most recent ad. Some stores hold ad items back and others just put stuff out as it comes in. Last week when I went in looking for Sunstreaker there were two ladies (each with two overflowing carts) that bought up all the Trolls and MLP stuff that's in this week's ad. Anyone coming into today looking for them is going to be disappointed. Such is Ollie's, great deals, if you can get there before the flippers.

I found a pallet with tons of hasbro stuff at Ollie's tonight, one case of hyper real Luke, 2 of Vader a bunch of ibteractive D0, more ML white rabbits, some of the solo cardboard playset didn't see any more transformers though

Last weekend I grabbed 2 Earthrise Starscreams at my local Ollie's here in MD. They had 2 or 3 more and a bunch of Grapples. I had to look through all of the starscreams to find 2 that did not have a cracked crotch plate. It was very common for it to be cracked right out of the box because of the tight tolerance mixed with that thick glossy red paint they used on the part

 

Just want to add: Don't sleep on the comic books at Ollies. They have some deep stock on graphic novels and seem to get more in all the time. We're talking about toys in this thread, but many of us read comics too and Ollie's has some surprising finds.

 

I'm shocked at some of the things I've found at Ollie's. Some examples are the complete Skrull Kill Krew, a collection of old Star-Lord comics, and half of the Snyder-Capullo run on Batman in hardcover. I remember seeing mixed volumes of Fables, Harley Quinn, Avengers, Deadpool, and just a big jumble of other titles. Unless it's something collected in one volume, you won't put together a full run on anything. You might find something you want to complete, though. Seriously, that Batman run is one of the all time greats.

I've been going to a few Ollie's where I currently live. Scalpers seem to be having a hayday, talked to a manager and he was telling me how people buy up entire boxes of figures... It's ridiculous because the next day, I check ebay and see new listings of figures clearly from Ollie's going for more than original retail price.

Its annoying and sucks when it would be nice to get just one that I am looking for. But no, scalpers have to ruin everything.

I just wanted stuff to custom. As I would like a hauler and few more seekers. Original and ones we haven't got like sunstorm and nacelle. And maybe make a Kitt and Karr out of runamucks or sunstreakers. But it's not gonna kill me if I don't. And sure not gonna pay current 2nd market prices for it.

 

Found these guys at big lots but they are more expensive than regular retail. Lol.
