IIRC Sludge was listed as leader class on the big whole 2022 wave breakdown leak.

Yep Sludge is down as Leader class. There was talk of Swoop being a voyager although I’d be a little miffed if his bot height is significantly shorter than Grim and Slag that we have received so far.

    @DeadBiscuit

Sludge is down as Leader class - in the last screenshot you can see this listed

I've been listening to Aaron Archers new podcast on YouTube. It's fantastic and I highly recommend it. I love how he talks about toys DOING SOMETHING.

I miss the 90s where toys did stuff. We've lost all play features and gimmicks other than transformation. I guess that's what the market wants with less focus on kiddies, but man, I do miss TOYS.

Give this chunk of Archer goodness to a child and watch then go.

Is it possible to remove the grey bits out of the nosecone? They are clipped in, and feels like it would break if I force it out

One of the best things I've bought all year is Mosquitor with his blood pumping chest gimmick. Shout out too for the Kenner Ghostbusters rereleases of Fearsome Flush and Bug Eye Ghost!

I can't remember what I have left but I think it's mostly Armada, there are a few Energon / Cybertron bits though.

I will keep a look out, lost a bunch of my Cybertron/Energon things when my parents garage flooded so a few sentimental favourites are needing replacing

I can only condone the shuffling into the spotlight of age of apocalypse stuff.

Here here. Particularly nice on a Prime, megatron or starscream i think.

Okay, so as I'm changing my TFTM display plans, I've got some items to sell that I now don't require. Thought I'd give fellow threadizens a chance before heading to ebay:

    1. Quintesson Pit of Judgement, MISB, £105

    2. Earthrise Quintesson Judge, MISB, £22

    3. Mech Fans Toys MS37 'Veteran' (Legends scale Kup), MIB, £17

    4. Mech Fans Toys MS19 'Flame Commander' (Legends scale Rodimus), MIB, £35

    5. Dx9 War in Pocket Dinobots Box Set (all 5 Legends scale Dinobots) MIB, £75

All prices for PayPal f&f and include postage. The MIB items have literally been opened and inspected then reboxed to await final display, which is now not happening.

My feedback on ebay is solid (4249david), and a few folks on here have dealt with me via the UK thread.

Just whizz me a DM if you're interested in anything. Happy to send pics etc. on request

    Thanks guys

My understanding is it was due to Brexit. Pre Brexit Omegalock was pre-orders, TFS-Express was in stock. That's why I was under the belief that TFS-Express didn't do UK deliveries 0o

But is that really the case though? The more kid focused lines still seem to have gimmicks like RiD2015, Cyberverse, some of the movie things with whatever those Energon Igniter things are etc. Maybe they feel the more adult focused Generations line should have a focus on transformation without being hampered by play features? Not saying that always happens but I have owned figures who have been severely hampered by incorporating a gimmick... Prime RiD Bumblebee comes to mind where the head reveal automorph mechanic really hampers posability and just puts the head in a really weird position.

I know I've seen it done, but I've not done it myself.

    ...

Just gonna share a pet peeve of mine: PotP Prime Masters with the wrong colourschemes! Like I get the fiction says they're in hiding but it is frustrating for example that we have a Prime Master who is in Nexus Prime's colourscheme and... it's Micronus? 0o
And like, while it's not his exact colourscheme per se, the colourscheme they gave the Alpha Trion Prime Master/Armour feels like it'd suit Vector Prime more IMO

    It just bugs me...

I'm smashed and listening to Ned's Atomic Dustbin. Days so old I can taste the Mozzarella! Have been going round work making noises like the Alzabo from _Annhiliation_.

And they love it. They better had. I'm now senior postdoc in the most fucked-up outfit I have _ever_ managed to stupidly fuck myself into, thus a legion of children (old enough to vote, can barely pipette) hang on my every word.

So I have to look after them. Their careers depend on me. But I'm a drunken plastic wastrel!

    Solution: CHUG more beer

Honestly mate, so glad we had that conversation earlier in the year when you recommended them to me. Game changer !

Our entire house LOVE the origins stuff because practically everything has a gimmick. You just don't see it often with toy ranges these days, do you ?

I've took my MOTU ring and all my origins figures downstairs now because the wife and I play with them with the kids rather than them being sat on a shelf. One of the kids is 11, the other is 3 and it doesn't matter which of them is playing, they can both pick up any of the figures and there's something different with each one that they love and that they find memorable for role playing.

Joey (3) now sits with the packaging and tells me which one of the "men's" we need to get next to become the "champion" (for the record, he'd like Ninjor, Hordak and REALLY wants Mosquitor :D ).

I love Transformers, they'll always be my favourite. But Origins has reminded me what it's like to actually 'play' with stuff. Whereas I was a bit dissapointed with Ram Man as his jump mechanism is turd, the youngest thinks it's the funniest thing ever and that's his favourite when he's not charging up Scareglow with a lightbulb !

Agree with the shout out to the Ghostbusters stuff too - going to bust Ecto out this weekend to see what that one's like :D

I was thinking a similar thing, Transformation is and should be "the gimmick" and I would much prefer that Generations remains with that as The Whole point and the more "Toyetic" designs and gimmicks are still there in Lines like Cyberverse or even Rescue Bots if that's the experience wanted.

Ah the Ned's, one of the greatest Kick-and-rush pure pleasures the 90's ever contrived. Shine on you Crazy Diamond, it's just one step short of Legoland!

These are today's best posts :D

I think I enabled Vertex on MOTU too!

I'm actually gonna do the same with my spare MOTU ring! I wanna have Anti-Eternia He-Man fighting Vintage He-Man in the middle, Sorceress by one corner, Green Goddess, Skeletor and Hordak in the others. Zodac as the ref :D

Love that kids are enjoying it! I'm certainly not gonna tell you Ninjor is £12 at Kapow, Hurricane Hordak is around £17 on Amazon and Mosquitor drops a few quid on there too every other week... I've a second one coming to use the alt headsculpt.

Ram Man's action feature I'd have foregone for a waist swivel and posable legs! Had to use a stand and pretend he was leaping lol.

If I'd more space I'd buy Ecto-1. I'm really hoping we get more of the Fright Feature ghosts and the Universal Monsters lot :)
