Just wondering if someone in the know could summarise quickly what we know is coming from TT - past Transmetal Megatron please? Is TM Rattrap definitely confirmed? Did I read somewhere they've plans to do TM2 Dragon Megs too? Man, I wish to heck someone would do a really good Optimal Optimus. Be it JX or TT. Specifically, one that scales perfectly with TM2 Dragon Megs. Also holding out for Rampage & Depth Charge too. And I know it never appeared in the show, but TM Rhinox would be neat too.

Didn't their Primal come with a few extra faces?

I think you've pretty much captured everything we know. "e've got BWM05 OpOp and BWM06 Transmetal Megatron confirmed and up for PO. It's been revealed to a select few on Weibo that Rattrap is coming, not sure if he will be BWM07, but I hope so. We've also been told they are aiming for 3-4 releases next year, all things being well and that they are focusing on Transmetals so far (not sure if this also means TM2's and whether fuzors are ruled out too).

I think it would be safe money to be Tarantulas comes after Rattrap, but after that it's probably anyone's guess whether they hit the big boys (Rampage/Depthcharge), the smaller TM2's (Cheetor/Blackarachnia) or the Fuzors (Silverbolt/Quickstrike). With any luck, we might even get to a point where TA is confident enough to start mopping up some MP scale characters S1 designs that appear in S2/3 (Waspinator/Rhinox/Inferno/Airazor).

Whatever comes next, I'm pleased to have TA filling in the gaps.

TransArt has the following in the works:

BWM04- Optimal Optimus: Appears to be new mold, but weirdly is around the same size as the original BW OpOp. Preorders open, supposed to be out December. No confirmation if they plan to offer it in MP size later.
BWM05- MP TM Megatron: Pre-orders open, slated to release Q2 2022. MP scale like the rest of the series.
MP TM Rattrap: No official reveals, but rumored from people connected to TransArt. No confirmation if it's next after Megatron or something else.

The TM2 Megatron, if it's the same figure they showed off ages ago, is a knockoff of the original figure with some new sculpted parts. As far as I know was in the scale of the original toy, not MP scale. Honestly can't see them trying to compete with JX MetalBeast.

JiangXing: Their TM2 Tigerhawk seems to be dead in the water. Was stated to be "copyright reasons", although due to broken english, I don't think this has to do with Hasbro/Takara, I think they're having issues internally.
TM2 MP Megatron: Already released, has had a few reissues. Recently revealed a repaint of Cryotek with new faces. No announcements if they're doing any more MP Beast Wars figures.

Future Toys-X: MP TM Tarantulas (Future Soldier). New company offering MP TM Tarantulas in both regular colours and Fox Kids colours. No idea of the quality, initial sculpt looked pretty good, but newer renders look worse (possibly old renders were used), currently open for preorders, releasing in 2022 at some point. No idea if it'll be any good as we haven't seen a final figure.

Takara-Tomy: Silence since MP Tigatron came out a year ago. No announcements of any further BW MP figures so far.

As far as I know, that's everything in the MP scale.

    Sure did.
Three bot and three munky faces.
Don't know why he's acting like their previous releases didn't come with extra faces.

I really wish this also came with recorded voices. The Chinese KO companies were more willing to pay homage to David Kaye with their BW Megatron KO than Japan. But I understand if they don't add it for cost reasons. That's why I own the KO BW Megs. I just had to have David Kaye, and not the goofy ass Japanese voice.

If you read my comment, I never said TransArt didn't include multiple faces, I said specifically faces that are in pain, surprise, shock, etc. Makes more dynamic displays
Eh.. voice boxes lose their novelty almost immediately to me and gets in the way of engineering and drives up cost.

I agree on voice boxes. LEDs too.

I don’t really play with my figures, especially MPs, so none of those things are necessary for looking great on a shelf.

That’s why Xtransbots did so poorly with their quintesson judge. All those electronics that pretty much nobody planned on using

I actually agree with both of you. It is a fun gimmick, but I also have never used the lights or sound more than once or twice when the figure's new. Extra electronics just takes up precious space that could be used for transformation instead.

Early prototype of the Transmetal Meg. From the info gotten, it will comes with 2 tail, a bigger one for beast mode and a smaller one for Bot mode as a weapon (because the animation does have a large tail in beast mode but when in Bot mode, the tail is smaller)

They also showcase the light up effect parts but not sure if this will make it to the final release as the effect parts are very heavy and the joint on the "fan" is not strong enough to hold the weigh

    He looks positively regal.
Love the facesculpt and the general proportions.
The ankle tilt looks great too.

Ohhh mumma, that’s a big ol’ beast.
Glad to see his forearm appears somewhat recessed in the tail Weapon. Initially it looked like he may just be holding by a foldout handle like the og toy.
I really hope we’re getting a swap out disc-reader-tail-tip too.

Oh my. I think that T. rex head on the chest MIGHT actually be part of the transformation. I was sure it would faux form like the MP Dinobot.

I'm not sure it was ever meant to actually be the T-Rex head, so I highly doubt this will be the case.

Actually, you're right. It's too flat to be the beast mode's head.
