Has anyone successfully changed the blue eyes in the super mode head, with the red for one of the regulars.

The face plate on the reguar mb06 head pops out easily.

I took the super mode head apart, but his face plate does NOT want to pop off easily. Has anyone elsr tried this??

I like the super mode head, but I need red eyes.

 

The 2002 Fire Guts Ginrai is one of my grails, but it's so expensive I don't think I'd ever actually buy one. Compared to the original, $300ish for this one seems like a bargain.

I don't have room for mold retools/repaints and I love oddball color schemes. I'll probably have to sell a few figures to make room for this one. I have been waffling on Machine Eagle for months now, and once this one was shown I figured no wait, that's the one.

The only other FH figure I have is Archenemy, which I find solid and I like plenty. MP-10 is one of my all-time favorites. It sounds like Power Baser is maybe a little more fiddly than those, but not especially so? From the videos I watched it seems like the top panels in combined mode, where the head connects, is the only common annoyance?

It also looked like the side panels of the combined mode, where the shoulders are, don't seem to have a way to solidly connect to the core (they just help guide it in place). Does it put a lot of strain on where they join by the hips when the arms are being moved? Or is that more solid than it looks?

I am still really on the fence about this mold. Is Power Baser the figure for me? Do I want this glorious orange truck? Or is it more complicated / fragile than the last many pages of posts and some video reviews (I watched peaugh and emgo's) seem to indicate?

 

Holy crap, that is like $2000 for those 4 dudes if you got the God Bomber attachment.   

 

I have the v2 (or whichever one had the folding bumper) and I don't think he's delicate at all. Nor is he particularly complicated. In fact, of all the MP figures I own, he might be the one I enjoy transforming the most. It doesn't look like there's any strain to speak of from the shoulders - the sides may not attach very much to the core bot but they do attach to the back of the figure very securely. The top panels are a little fiddly but not bad - mostly if you get the core bot's pelvis at the right angle, everything else goes together fairly easily. I don't particularly enjoy moving those top panels past his smoke stacks but that's probably the only real complaint I have.

Personally, I have no intention to get the orange version but I gotta say it looks glorious. Just hearing about it, I wouldn't expect orange chrome to look good but when I saw pics, it was very striking and I immediately wanted it. I just don't have the space/budget and the Godbomber means nothing to me.

 

I need to figure out a place to display red dragon there with his wings out but you can see where FGGG is going

 

is there a tutorial anywhere on how to perform the chrome thigh swap?!?

 

Well, I ordered Orange Julius. I had credit at BBTS from some cancellations so it was significantly cheaper than going through FH direct.

might not see it until a couple months after everyone else gets theirs, with the shipping delays, but I don’t mind waiting. It gives me more time to sell some stuff to make room and cover the balance.

 

The hype hasn't diminished, I have my fingers and toes crossed for Tango Ginrai being shipped in the next week or so.

In the meantime, I love this mould so much because as cool and imposing as it looks, it's still fun to mess around with even when combined with the trailer.

The option kit to turn Ginrai into Marvel UK G1 Powermaster Prime is such a cool add-on too.

Looks like the packaging is ready, but there's a 2-week delay before they're shipped - albeit with a full replacement head for Power Baser instead of just eyes!

Looks like you don't have to worry about swapping the eyes as a full head is coming with the set.
