i was hoping that they would've made their own form without deriving from the other, but then again DNA made it rather useful, to have the elbow bend below the original joint for a deeper curl

much like some minor changes that overall fixes some areas, (not really regarding the buttflap since it's been a thing ever since the first non OS ko of MPM screamer)

From the subtitle already mentioned and I just translate it. Whether how true it is only the real person behind it knows. But few TB sellers also cited its not from BMB

To be fair a lot of BMB products don’t seem to be cited under them, so who knows. I just sort of figured it’s yet another rebrand. It is good to know tho, guess we should keep an eye on that.

I sure hope so. People need to use the blue text when their jokes aren't immediately obvious. There are a lot of people in the world who are actually stupid enough to complain about KO companies ripping each other off so it's understandable that we'd be confused.
Same. Sometimes people put so much effort into looking for clues and making up theories and I'm just over here like "can we talk about the figure?"
So am I right to assume that all they added was finger articulation and LEDs?
This is why OSKOs are rarely worth it. This one especially seems to have missed some opportunities to make improvements that everyone wants. I think if they sharpened up some of the details, added some elbow articulation, and maybe reworked the legs and crotch to fold out more for robot mode everyone (including me) would be jumping on this thing. As of now it's really only for a narrow field of people who are not happy with the MPM's size and don't care about much else. These types of figures make me miss Black Apple so much :(

To some extent I agree. Early OSKO figures were great. Black Mamba LS-01, LS-04, LS-05, LS-06, LS-08, and LS-10; Wei Jiang Hide Shadow, Detective, Commander, and Rendsora; were all phenomenal upgrades to the existing official figures. Not only did they upscale them but often added some extra engineering and polish that the original was missing to truly make it an amazing figure. Nowadays most OSKO's seem to be half-assed just to get a quick cash grab with no regard whatsoever for the quality or how enjoyable the figure itself it.

Am I saying that this OSKO of MPM Starscream is lazy and/or a cash grab? No, not necessarily. In fact I'm so happy it finally exists because quite frankly this is the movie Starscream figure I've wanted for 15 years now. It does have some marked improvements even compared to the original KO, such as LED's, articulated fingers, a properly painted buzzsaw weapon that isn't a horrendous translucent orange color, tighter joints, and overall sturdier materials.

However, it does leave me feeling a tad hollow considering that they had over a year since the release of the original MPM to significantly improve the mold in ways that don't even involve advanced re-workings but instead chose to do the bare minimum. For example, like you said, extra articulation for the elbows and pecs would have been greatly appreciated, as well as the missing USAF decals on his shoulder fins. They also could have removed his thrusters to free up space in his jet mode to significantly streamline and compress the underbelly which would have appeased a lot more people since the messy underbelly was a prime complaint since day one.

Overall I'm very happy with it and am going to get this no matter what, but it just feels like a shame that it would have been so much better especially since they had a year to plan it.
Tell me about it. There's rumors and rumblings of Black Apple Ironhide returning but I won't believe it until it's confirmed like the Optimus Prime re-issue.

Speaking of Optimus, have you put in your pre-order for the restock yet? I actually haven't myself because I'm waiting to see if TF-Direct will get any copies. If they don't by the end of October then I'm probably going to place one with Iacon Store.

I mean, it kind of DOES sound like you think it's lazy, BUT you like it and want it anyways, which is totally fine.

And nah, I'm not getting BA Prime again. The one I have has some breakages but I've put so much into it that I don't wanna risk getting another one right now. I'm hoping some other company can do better, since BA Prime isn't perfect without some upgrades. It's for sure the best we have though, and I still miss Black Apple since that Ironhide looks by far the best one we could have gotten, and I also loved the chibi line they were doing!

Yeah, it's probably best to see what's to wait till there's more evidence/it's confirmed or even until BA Prime reissue comes out and maybe we'll have info after he comes back out. I'm waiting to see how BA Optimus looks when he comes out later this month/November (I'll probably get him since I missed out on him the first time, regardless of if BA Ironhide comes out under another company or).

lol guilty as charged. No but still, I'm very grateful it exists at all because I was getting awfully worried it would never happen since it only got announced a full year after the initial figure.

Breathed a huge sigh of relief when I saw the announcement on Instagram.
Fair enough. As great as BA Optimus is it's definitely not perfect, especially his proportions. The only reason I want another is so I have a "backup". I'm planning to mod my current one soon and display the other one in vehicle mode since the vehicle mode is equally as beautiful as the robot mode. I think that the Chinese "Perfect" Optimus Prime is, well, perfect proportionally speaking but that's been abandoned long ago, unfortunately.

And yeah, that BA Ironhide was a loss of unspeakable magnitude. I really hope the rumors he's coming back is true, Primus knows how much I want him.
I'm sure it'll look fine since they're just spare parts lying around that Wei Jiang wanted to get rid of. That implies it's the same overall quality as the original release. Also lol is it true BA is currently on the run? I thought he was detained and in prison now?

Honestly like I said before I do not care who does the figure, I just want someone to do it. If anyone can pick up those CAD files for BA Ironhide and produce it I'd be leaping with joy.

Also, where are you going to place your pre-order for BA Optimus, if you don't mind me asking? I was thinking of Iacon myself but if there's a better option I'm all ears.

No he’s not on the run he was in prison but he was let out this year (it’s all in the WJ drama thread) also the “rumor” of BA Ironhide coming out is that basically it’s from another company that has the files (with or without permission).
    INFO:
And IDK where I’ll order Prime from, probably either Iacon or showz since they’re supposed to be getting him as well whichever is cheaper that who I will go with.

    Hi guys!

Today I tried to transform Starscream.

Obviously, the Takara company seems to be really good at designing.

I heard that an oversized product is going to be released.

    I look forward to it.

*sigh* Takara is great with designing more often than not, and the alt mode for this guy is fine.

Bot mode of MPM Screamer and streamlined jet without the kibble underneath is a wet dream of every MPM collector. Imagine the profits for the company making that dream come true.
Anyway, did you notice that it's never enough? When we get great robot and alt mode, next thing will be screen accurate transformation.

I'm currently waiting for replacement parts for my three BMB figures. Safe to say their qc went to sh1t. At least they're responsive and you'll get what you need eventually
