This was a story at its core of slaves revolting against their masters. If you know just a little bit about how slavery works, I shouldn’t need to explain further.

It’s no different than the contextual subtext in teen titans where StarFire was sold by her sister into sex slavery or Raven was a product of demon rape in the comics. Or that deathstroke was having a pedo relationship with Tera.
It doesn’t have to be hammered into you to understand what’s going on. There’s a lot of all m-ages shit out there that talks about a lot of heavy shit if you think about it.

There isn't a single multimedia franchise that hasn't killed off it's "main character" in 1 form or another. The vast majority of which, including Optimus, where due to monitory reasons.

Heck Transformers can't even stick with a Prime being dead, with only 1 continuity that has killed him not bringing him back.

it is in universe with the ongoing IDW2 but after 1 issue, no telling how connected they will be. my feeling is that it will mostly be separate with only occasional references/crossing over into the grander events of the ongoing war build up, at least until the war moves off cybertron,

 

I like Skold’s design and that she’s an alligator snapping turtle, that’s a great choice for a Predacon. It’s a nice cover.

Interesting that the original show’s big plot twist is discussed and defied - for now, at least. Megatron sounds like himself, I like how he casually went from proudly boasting about Blackarachnia to leaning into Tarantulas’s face “I'm suuuure that was a coincidence, right?”

Yes that is the better version of Armada design for Hot Shot.

Be kind of funny of that was because there was an Armada version planned and that's why they can't use it yet, but probably not.
