Entertaintment Earth has updated their listing of the ReAction Santa Optimus Prime with images of the back of the packaging revealing the upcoming ReAction Transformers Wave 5.

Someday I'll understand the popularity of these guys. That day is when they make a Piranacon and I move Heaven and Earth to find it.

I would be interested in more combiners in the style of Devastator. I think Sunbow style Superion and Menasor would especially be cool.

 

Prowl is also given the purple Decepticon text.

 

I know those are just mistakes, but I really like it. They really make this feel like an old 80s toy catalogue with swapped names and miscolored figures and i just think that's so cool

something possibly of significance i just noticed about this; reflector has his normal name rather than refraktor. is that only because its referring to the character who had that name in the 80s, OR has hasbro reobtained the trademark on reflectors name? i sure hope its the latter

 

I agree but I understand it. By season three he was pretty much the talking pet dog of the group. His dino mode has as much screen time as his bot. Plus it has the "cute" factor that means it will probably be the first off the pegs at retail.

 

Given the IDW1 comics, it’s not that surprising.

 

Maybe different rules for different types of toys? That is an actual law, but I don’t know if it’s relevant here.

I personally don't really see the point of these, but...
I'm really digging that Reflector. He has a nice, simple robot design that I've always liked, & this reflects (ha ha) that.

(Still secretly holding out for us to one day get a core class version though...)

 

Not sure what's going on with these as Jazz is also simply Jazz, without an Autobot or anything.

 

For a minute there, I thought this was a new wave of Ultimates.  

Really interested in the AM homages and obscure characters that line seems to have.

Hell yes! I have all of them sans the new Transformers The Movie (1986) versions and even those i have in my pile at bbts waiting to get paid. I even have them all in collectors packaging.

I agree I absolutely love these things. As well as the ultimates (but for Ultimates im only springing for G1 season 1 Characters like Starscream when they release a regular version, and I paid for Prime and I will get Megatron and Grimlock dino mode as well.)

I disagree I am enamored with the choice of Grimlock dino mode!

 

I’ve always thought Grimlock’s robot mode looks cool. Not his very first head design though.

 

Arcee's shoulders are supposed to be pink.
