Apparently some listings he's seen say PR for Soundwave and Galvatron, but others say Prime, so that's where the confusion is coming from.

Oh wow! Maybe! There's no Kingdom leader release for W4 or W5, after all!

I think Nightbeat, Hosehead, and Siren are still potentially on the table for either 2023-onward or exclusives since they haven't been de-confirmed, just not seen in any listings, but is Straxus still supposed to be happening too? I thought the leakers had made it sound like he's postponed indefinitely.
Ugh, this makes me wish we had a good, accurate Mirage even more. I'd love a Niki Lauda Transformer!

Probably just a computer error. If the Sega Saturn has taught companies anything is that announcing and releasing a product in stores at the same time ends badly. I would say we are looking at a January release for Legacy Wave 1 aka my wallets first beat down of the year.

I’ve not seen anything from any of the leakers saying Straxus was outright cancelled or there’s no current plans for him (like there was with Gears / Polar Claw in Kingdom or Needlenose, RIP), just that he’d been replaced this year.

Considering TR Galvatron had a Shockwave retool that was cancelled before Siege Shockwave was made, and there’s been none of the usual chatter that he’s dead it looks like he’s just been shuffled round.

I realise that he’s mainly a ‘comic only’ character but considering we’re getting Insecticons, what looks like Dlx Insecticons plus Blitzwing in the next year, from the ‘84-‘85 pre movie line Straxus is the only Decepticon left to redo (they reissued the CW Constructicons recently), I’d argue all signs point to him being on HasTak’s radar and held back till they had the budget so they could do the G1 version justice.

If Straxus is the G1 version, then he could be a heavy retool of leader Galvatron. Their alt mode are similar.

One of the ‘reliable’ leakers told me when I was speaking to them privately on here last year. I don’t want to say which one in case it gets someone in trouble (there’s only 4 or 5 on here that it could be), I don’t know if it would but I also don’t want to risk it or possibly betray someone’s confidence.

I’d like to think with my track record you’d know I’m not pulling this out of thin air though, and if they see it they may chime in & confirm it themselves here.

    I honestly believe he’s either
    A) Being held back to go with a Soundblaster repaint of Netflix Soundwave, to be released whenever Blaster gets his Twincast repaint, or

    B) We’ve seen there’s a Core class Rumble coming in Studio Series ‘86 next year. It wouldn’t surprise me if we get more of Soundwave’s cassettes in this format, in which case I’d bet we’d get Buzzsaw then.

I could totally see that happening. But with Galvatron getting a package refresh / reissue in Evolution next year, I’d imagine they’d wait till he was off the shelf till that happens. I think that would be another reason to hold him back, so there’s not two similar on the shelves at the same time.

I could live without Buzzmeme ever getting another update. Ratbat fills his spot anyway as a second flying cassette and so do Rumble and Frenzy.

I'm glad to see less and less of that "remold it slightly and fudge it" design mentality in Generations, at least for most characters.

Something like TR Galvatron being remolded into Shockwave would have been a big step down compared to the Siege version that was ultimately built!

If I recall, one of the leakers did mention we’d be seeing a Selects Earth Mode Soundblaster to go with Netflix Soundwave’s packaging refresh in Legacy.

Exactly. If the leakers back were around back then in Titans Return & had told us we were finally getting a Voyager Shockwave (we hadn’t had a proper one at that scale since G1 I think!), then that he was cancelled, we’d have been crushed.

But now knowing we got the far superior Siege version a year later, in hindsight you can see it was totally the right decision to do.

I'm hoping that's what's happening with Gears and Buzzsaw. New Ravage, new Rumble, then new Laserbeak, then new Buzzsaw and Frenzy.

This is honestly a big reason what got me back into transformers. The Prime Wars trilogy was tempting for me but there were way too many reuses of molds that didn't fit the characters.

What worries me is that I'm looking at Kingdom Galvatron right now as an example. It's not an exclusive. It's sold out at msrp at Amazon, Target, Hasbro Pulse, Gamestop, and Big Bad Toy Store.
