Fans Toys Robot Paradise RP-01 Acoustic Tfs express has another one up for preorder. This is for acoustic wave.

 

I wish I can sell off my 2 Hot Toys figures for what I paid for them.

 

So, is general consensus that we are getting this guy and tapes this month?

 

As in... arriving to the USA this month? Maybe I'll eat my hat... but na. I don't think so.

Usually you see Chinese retailers request payment 1-2ish weeks before the figure arrives to them. Then there's another couple weeks of shipping.

 

Plus, there was always supposed to be a month between the guy and his cassettes, so even if we get one, it’s probably another month before we get the other.

 

There's still a chance we see them before year's end but that's pending production completion and shipping uncertainties, delays, backlogs and bottlenecks.

 

I honestly don't see how anyone could have that kind of optimism at this point.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if we get nothing this month.

FT is clearly angling for figure of the year, so what better than releasing this figure at the beginning of December??

 

They released figure of the year already?…

Iiiits, Spindrift! 2! .! 0!

Because FT enthusiasts (not the toxic fanboy variety) are innately optimistic. You have to endure the agonizing wait from silhouette to renders, then the anticipation for the color prototypes, deal with the disappointment of preorders and redesigns, in order to reach the pinnacle of opening that styrofoam shell to find an exquisitely painted figure with limited articulation and an agonizing transformation. It’s a test of your mental fortitude and will.

Honestly, it’s just fun. We all have to wait for Takara, XTB, MAKETOYS!!!!,…etc., so this isn’t a unique experience. Plus, dalianjj does this to teach us that it’s about the friends we make along the way.

 Still a nice preview, but nothing looks updated since then. Just the same video from bilibili (now ported over to Youtube) making the rounds every 10 pages. Granted this video has given us some of our best looks at the finished toy. Thanks for sharing again.

Also, do we think a Soundblaster repaint with the missing cassettes - Buzzsaw and Ratbat, at least - is likely?

 

Okay!!!! I'm still definitely waiting on TT's but that looks fucking epic, even the MEH looking cassette bots look somewhat good here. Wow!

I almost wish that Blaster was done first. KFC one looks great but built like trash!!! I personally don't think this guy looks worlds above the old MP Soundwave. The articulation is worlds above the past offering though. I'm looking forward to the tapes the most. They look great.
