Hmmm... I've never ordered from them so I can't speak on their reliability. However, if you do decide to make the purchase, the butflap fix alone is worth it.

 

Buying on Aliexpress has been a pleasure. Plenty of sellers with good prices and the fact that the seller doesn't get paid until the buyer confirms they've received the product is reassuring that you will get what you ordered and not deal with scams like ebay.

Aside from that, as someone said Wish Toy Store on there is good, I've bought from them multiple times with great experience. I bought my Magnus from Lensple Robot Store though which have also been great. The incorporated fix of the butt flap is perfect, why didnt Takara think of that, it's a no brainer! Also the arm ratchet upgrade and the gun upgrade already being included is also well worth it. Pretty much everything about the THF version is better all around. Things are tighter and feel more solid and better so it's simply the better option costing less money. I'm very happy with mine!

Excellent!!! Well, if your looking for the ultimate magnus, finish him off with the KFC hand upgrade. If you want posable fingers. Mine currently has the matrix hands but the KFC hands are pretty damn good.

 

I ran into this same issue on my copy. Did anyone else encounter this problem? Was there a quick fix?

 

Yeah, I have KO's of MP-36, MP Wheeljack, MP Streak, and MP Shockwave They are all really good quality, but that Shockwave is perfect. The only problem is that it's MP Shockwave and is way too short. I really wish they'd made that thing almost as tall as MP-36. Then it would be perfect.

Was planning to get ss86 commander class ultra magnus when it comes out... but now I dunno when the THF mp22 KO is available for less money.
Already know the KO is great bang for the buck. No idea what to expect from hasbro. And even if it's amazing by their hasbro standard, I don't see how it could be better than the mp22 KO? Decisions...decisions...

 

I've decided after two years of owning it that I kind of hate it.
Just isnt any fun to pose.
Even the Kingdom Magnus is more posable. But hey, with modern engineering maybe the SS86 Commander will take cues from MP-22 and make it good.

 

I emailed about it, never heard back from them. Now I need to replace the outer piece on the back of the left leg that unfolds to form the side of the trailer. Time to try them again I guess.

 

I think I let ride since it's only apparent in alt mode. But it's definitely an annoyance not having the correct pegs. I was initially thinking that a KO company might not do customer service. Where did you find their contact info?

 

Does anyone have a 3d printer that could possibly replicate this piece? The "knuckles" of the hinge that connect to the pin stress fractured and broke off, and the figure wont transform properly without that piece. I could possibly remove and mail the intact piece from the other leg if someone needed to scan and Mirror it. I got one of the first releaseses of THF version of this character when he was about $60 and can't justify a replacement at over $100.

When I originally purchased this figure, I went with ToyHax stickers that included a raised logo shoulder sticker for bot mode but I really wanted a plastic logo. I don't have this figure displayed currently (in storage) but I'm curious to know what the measurements are for the truck mode logo areas. Someone posted that the space for the shoulder logo is 15.25mm. #100

Found one of these, loose and surprisingly* complete, on eBay.

He's a little wonky in the fitment department, especially in the legs, but man...this feels like MP Magnus. I much prefer the lack of a buttflap that the original had. (That was ever really my only issue with that figure. The waist swivel, I could forgive. Still do.)

*=seller thought he had lost some of the faces. Turns out they were in the backpack, pegged on. So, complete Magnus for a heck of a lot less than TT. Gosh, they priced me out of MP, KO makers priced me back in.

 

How did things go with the emblems?
