Well that was a depressing item on the news, the Global Shipping Crisis is a mare.

Bet one of those container ships has all the Pipes figures. :(

Here’s the thing though, I’m not even mad about it any more. It helps keep them separate from Lego, having such a different design philosophy. It’s not for everyone, but I’m kind of glad they exist. It’s good that they exist in a slightly different niche to the mainstream.

However I’m still super salty that you can get thousands of variants of MC figs as CoD soldiers, but not a single one of a regular person in, like, a t-shirt or a skirt or something.

It's definitely the licences sustaining that brand. The construction side of it arguably isn't as good as the discount store stuff, so you don't even get the sorta minifigs they do.
    ...

This sounds awful. He-Man wasn't the brightest in the Netflix show to start with! It sounds like he's getting nerfed in every sense.

    Good luck with the sale.

If it wasn’t for the fact I’ve outlaid an obscene amount on TF in recent weeks I’d be well into this.

Need to have a parsimonious run through to Christmas.

To me, robot mode size dictates alt mode size, not the other way around. Like how bw did it. Otherwise, the robots would be all kinds of whack. Megatron and soundwave would be tiny, the seekers would tower over everyone, the constructicons would be mahoosive, half the minibots wouldn't be minibots, the predacons would be too tiny to fight anyone bigger than bumblebee, reflector would be the actual size of his toy and bruticus would have an arm bigger than his body and a leg half the size of the other one. So to me, brainstorm being the same size as the other headmasters works much better than if he towered over them.

But thats not to say tr is a better jet mode, or figure in general. T30 brainstorm has the much better jet mode in all respects, and probably better robot mode, though it's been a while since i had it so i don't remember properly.

@Convoy hope your aunt makes a swift recovery.

I mean both MASK AND GI Flippin' JOE are right THERE, and Hasbro doesn't even have to pay anyone else to do 'em as crossovers and yet bupkiss!

Sorry for missing this earlier, didn't get a notification. The price originally was £50, at one point it was £43 but went back up, and I managed to get one when the price went back down to £43.
Currently back at £50, but worth keeping an eye on it in case it goes down again.

You don't need an excuse my friend. I clearly remember them debuting in season 4 of the cartoon. Whip those lads out. Have fun.

    You can say that again.

    Yes. Yes. Yes.

Yes there is lots of options and in all kinds of colours, chrome silver, Red - allsorts.
You usually get something else with the upgrades like his shoulder launcher or a alternative tail tip and a sword.
You can also buy them on their own. Personally I prefer my Dinobots to match so I am a big fan of a Blackheaded Slag & a swoop with a red chest.

Maverick repaint = Gi Joe Skystalker X-14
Ultimate X-Panse extensive remould = Cobra Night Raven
Missing Earthmode Hound might be a Gi Joe VAMP 'possibly' (though they could do something with Calcar with Gi Joe in mind)

Heck even that old Human Alliance Bike that looks Kinda like Streethawk - is also very Gi Joe like too.

But there is certainly so many fabulous Gi Joe vehicle i'd like to see as a Transformer I'd adore it as an ENTIRE LINE.

I do wish they take inspiration from the Collaboration brand though and go with all original Characters rather than give into the temptation of making Gi Joe Characters or Transformers Characters "By default" - if they really must do - it then ones that makes sense Like Hound or Starscream I can deal with I guess. I don't hate the idea of a Hiss Tank Shockwave - it would work lovely - I just feel there is some merit to going all original with the robots. It makes them an additional faction to interact with your existing toys then - and not just another Cyberverse/Evergreen like eternal reset. I wouldn't mind to much if they included teeny tiny humans with them (like Action Fleet size) not so they are driven - but just as so they feel like part of the line more.
I also think you could play with the scale a bit perhaps. such as make a large Gi Joe Vehicle and had a smaller one like a Motorscycle turn into their gun. Or even make the really small things like Motorcycles and ATV's be Micromasters.

I can see Gi Joe Micromaster packs being something that would capture some attention.

If they farm it properly they have a potential brand segment they can farm for quite a while. Also that small Transformers idea - doesn't hurt that it would complement Botbots or other things like that too. but then that is not that unlike the "Kitchen Crew Micromasters" I've been beggng for for years - even more so since Botbots came out.

    ---------

Random question of the day : is there anywhere in the UK that sell Hexbugs Junk Bots - I just noticed they exist and they look like something I want to try out ?

I bought something listed as in stock back in May, didn't hear anything for a few weeks so emailed them. Apparently the listing was supposed to say preorder with a due date of July, so I decided to wait.

We're now in October, still haven't received my order and I haven't had a reply to my email about it either. PayPal claim will be going in on Friday.

I try to be cool with other retailers as I know firsthand how things can go wrong but it's annoying to see that the in-stock/preorder thing is still an issue.

Apologies for the double post, on my phone which makes it hard to edit and quote.

I had the same thing with pulse and it was split into two parcels, don't worry about it.

Sorry this post has not much to do with Transformers - accept for the discussion of Mask making a nice idea for Collab/Crossovers toys.
There is some interesting Covers of the MASK theme on Youtube if anyone wants to amuse themselves looking them up.

Also look up the instrumental version it's "weird" - though not as weird as the instrumental version of Jace and the Wheeled Warrior's theme.

This is the original theme though :

I'd almost forgotten how many Vehicle's Mask breaks in the early episodes - it's a lot !
