This reminds me of my own pet theory. I like to think that the non-show BW characters are having their own parallel beast war on Saturn's moon, Titan.

Consider: In BW Drill Bit's bio card, it says "Drill Bit lives underground in a subterranean series of twisting tunnels that go straight to the mysterious planet's center, where molten lava mixed with Energon crystals fuels his constant thirst for more power." Now compare this with the "electric lava" found on Titan in the G1 episode The God Gambit...!

 

Exactly how much on their original self one retains after being reformatted by Unicron depends on the condition they're in at the time of their reformatting. Ever wonder why Galvatron was the only one to retain his original personality (prior to losing his sanity, of course) and show signs of remembering his previous life? Perhaps it's because Megatron was the only one who was both alive and fully conscious when he was reformatted. The Insecticons, considering the beatings they took during the Battle of Autobot City, were probably dead by the time they reached Unicron, so all that remained of them after they became the Sweeps was their cloning ability.

(Side note: Said cloning ability is the reason there's always at least three of them. Every time one dies, another is created to take his place. The reason a whole army of Sweeps was never created is that the cloning process had also been altered. They were now capable of creating fully sentient duplicates rather than mindless drones, but doing so uses up so much energy that creating more than a handful at a time was literally hazardous to their health. It was either build an army at the cost of your own life, or simply materialize a small team and keep on living, and most Sweeps do enjoy living, if their cowardly behavior throughout the third season is anything to go by.)

Same goes for Thundercracker. He was dead by the time he reached Unicron, which is why his reincarnation, Scourge, has nothing in common with him personality-wise. Skywarp, however, was just barely hanging in there. His spark/laser core was about to flicker out for good, and Unicron reformatted him with only seconds to spare, which is why Cyclonus retained at least one of Skywarp's personality traits: his devotion to the Decepticon cause and its leader.

 

It might be a conscious decision on Unicron's part to allow Megatron/Galvatron more individual freedom. Megatron was one of the biggest players in the war and had the knowledge/experience to back up keeping him mostly intact. Others who are reformatted might not be worth the same effot.

 

I always thought of Scourge's grumbling compliance to Galvatron's commands as the remains of the hesitation Thundercracker had for the Decepticon Cause (from his bios).

And while reformatting Skywarp into Cyclonus, Unicron inadvertently granted Warp his secret wish for the wisdom to truly be an asset to his leader.

Netflix Decepticon Mirage is an evil clone named Fracture.

The collaborative Autobots are simply a group of friends who like Earth culture, whereas Draculus thinks vampires are threatening.

 

In his early days as a gladiator, Optimus would occasionally work as a dockworker on the side.

 

In the Earthforce continuity Thunderwing was the one to beat Unicron. Unicron reached Cybertron much later in Earthforce but Thunderwingthe Matrix arrived at the same time as in the main continuity. As before Hethey attack Cybertron, but this time Xaaron is able to get through to Thunderwing and help him regain control of the Matrix returning it to being a force of good. By the time Unicron finally did arrive, they were ready for him.

and Prime had pretty much nothing to do with it.

 

Figured a good place/reason for Sky Lynx in head canon:


As I previously mentioned Mega Zarak was an exiled Deception scientist hiding amongst a group of refugees.

He gained knowledge of Earth beast modes from the mysterious Nucleon Zone.


Sky Lynx was another scientist who worked with Zarak and Brainstorm on Master technology and new body types.

Sky Lynx's body was the result of a scientific accident that cost him his more traditional the robot mode.

 

It took nearly 6 million years drifting in the Dead Universe for the empty Matrix brace in Nova Prime's corpse to attract the Darkness, resurrecting him and in turn the rest of the Ark-1 crew. They spent most of their banishment actually dead.

 

My idea of the Seeker hierarchy which I like to think are the remains of a pre-war Cybertron air force alongside other Cybertronians who would go on to makeup the Autobot's Aerialbots...

Starscream - Acting commander and liaison to the higher Decepticon echelon
Slipstream - Second in Command, usually takes up leadership duties for Starscream. Really hates Starscream
Skywarp & Thundercracker - Generals. In charge of the generic Seeker forces in battle, usually report to Slipstream but Starscream when she is not around.
The Coneheads (Ramjet, Dirge, Thrust, Jetblade, & Sandstorm) - A modified group of Seekers, nicknamed the suicide bombers. They have been modified to act as battery rams and blow large holes in Autobot defenses. Due to their very suicidal tendencies not many are still alive.
The Rainmakers (Acid, Nova, & Ion Storm) - An elite division of Seekers experimented on by Shockwave to produce acid rain.
Bitstream, Hotlink, Sunstorm, & Nacelle - The other less impressive division of Seekers each with their own unique abilities.
The Rest (Red Wing, Air Warriors, & Blackout) - The sometimes smart sometimes incredibly stupid cannon fodder of the Decepticon air force, they respond to Skywarp & Thundercracker's commands or even to Slipstream & Starscream if assigned on a mission with them.

Cybertron, or, Seibertron, as its called in my fanfic, is a Dyson Sphere, one built around an Energon Star by the Quintessons, as the primary factory for their D-Line and C-Line of robots able to change their shape, who eventually rebelled, forming the Primal Vanguard to govern themselves. After billions of years, the leader of the Primal Vanguard's military, General Megatron, formed the Decepticon Union with others due to his fear that Seibertron's military was growing weak, especially with all the threats Seibertron faced. What was left of the Primal Vanguard reformed into the Autobot Alliance, which wanted to focus on demilitarizing and getting into touch with other forms of life beyond Seibertron, and both factions fought a bloody war over who gets control. The idea Yurei had was the Dyson Sphere part, the rest is all me.

 

Project Master was undertaken by the Primal Vanguard in the days before the war, to recreate the Titans of myth by making fortresses that turned into Titan bodies, with the fortress' commander turning into its head, controlling the artificial Titan. Only two fortress-sized Headmasters were made. The same tech was used during the Seibertronian Civil War to give Seibertron's smaller citizens a body to fight with.

 

The Primal Vanguard Elite Guard was a division of the military concerned with offworld peacekeeping and expansion, its members venturing across the galaxy. Many Seibertronians dreamed of joining its forces to venture beyond the stars. The highest ranking members of the Elite Guard were given suits of transforming armor, called the Magnus Armor, its leader, Albino Pax, the brother of Orion Pax, who later became Optimus Prime, being given the most powerful suit of Magnus Armor, being dubbed Ultra Magnus. When the war started, they headed Project ARK to use Ark-Class cruisers to evacuate the Autobots off of Seibertron to fight elsewhere.

 

Nemesis Primal is a nickname given to the bot known properly as Galvatron (BW1)
Hailing from an alternate timeline, Megatron defeated Primal in the beast wars, wiping out the Maximals, but at the cost of his tyrannosaurus body. However, while he was dead, Primal's body was in far better condition, so Megatron had his spark moved into said body so that he could continue living, and like his ancestor took up a new name upon cheating death, though without the loss of his sanity or freedom he gleefully noted.

Due to certain circumstances outside of his control, his timeline ended up destroyed, with him and a few predacons being the sole survivors, escaping to a new timeline...a timeline where he failed and lost the beast wars. Well that wouldn't do, now would it? He'd have to show those cocky maximals his true majesty, yes~

Would also be voiced by Garry Chalk, using David Kaye's Megatron's mannerisms but initially as if Megatron was trying to imitate Primal's mannerisms.

 

The new Victory Saber figure is the repaired version of Victory Saber after the events of the Transformers Zone OVA.

And that Optimus Primal is like some failed clone or something at trying to recreate a new Optimus Prime for the era.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were everybody's ancestors.

 

- Motormaster has the biggest, stupidest, schoolboy crush on pyra magna. Maybe it's her red and blue color scheme, maybe it's her commanding presence and uncompromising nature, or maybe the ol' blockhead likes a girl who can kick his ass. Either way, between and optimus prime, dragstrip mocks him for having a type.
- Hun Gurr is named after his thirst for respect, as well as his stress eating. It's a coping mechanism for having to lead the terrorcons, who are just terrorists in his optics.
-Unlike the rest of the dinobots, grimlock's altmode is not based on a dinosaur. Look at it. No, his altmode is actually based on trypticon's robot mode. The rest of the dinobots were able to use the data from that jumping off point to imitate earth beasts.
