The parrying mechanic feels like a natural evolution of its presence in Samus Returns which makes sense given the developers. I like the mobile melee fighting,

though I can see the use of counters in key fights getting a bit gimmicky

, and the movement system is brilliant once you get the hang of it.

The changes certainly lend an edge to proceedings.

One thing I do love though is how

you, true to form, instantly become hunter rather than hunted once the Omega cannon is activated. Obviously still in danger of being killed immediately but you become the aggressor in the E.M.M.I encounters. You exploit the freedom of movement they previously had as an advantage to set up the killshot. It's bloody awesome.

 

I’ve got an order in with BigBadToyStore. Think it was scheduled for June, and has kept being pushed back.

 

Once I was part of the moaner squad about how wrong his colours were, but with time and an appreciation for joy I've come to love Nerfatron in all his garish G2-esq glory. That being said, I bought United Megatron as faster than a speeding bullet.

I'd take a leader class Nerfatron - with the extra budget going towards folding away those wings.

When you mentioned Weirdwolf I was tempted, but after checking the price decided against it. I've done some mods/fixed to mine after a hinged cracked and he's holding up. Same with Skullcrucher who just went through a Pledge service so he's good now.

Asked Pulse for a replacement Shattered Glass Blurr comic because crumpled. Naturally they sent me a Megatron one...

 

I did almost join you in sensible rejection of temptation but the combination of the successful dyeing of bonebods (& homebrew MASKromaster 1) having lit something of a fire under the ol' Modness, and *gestures at the general state of the Not-So-UK* pushed me to a bit of "Ah, F*** it!" but VS helpfully prevented me "F*** It"-ing it too much. At least that's what I'm rationalising to myself (without scrutinising that thought process too closely).  

That, and the thought of a potential January Sale Discount Ark from Argos!

In terms of Robots I feel like there's not much going on in the TF space at the moment. I have a few pre-orders (Tigatron, Perceptor etc.) But it seems everything is pretty much done for the year and has been for a month or so  

 

I'd like to know that too... though based on my experience getting the BAF Deluxes I don't feel confident of UK sellers getting him in :-/ shame as frankly he appeals to me far more than the Kingdom version

Are they though? Only one I know 100% for sure is Vertebreak. Transmutate I've never been entirely sure if they're male or female and I gather in some continuities they are explicitly nongendered too... that said her BWU version is female so I'll give that. Otherwise doesn't seem like most the Fossilizers have been specifically gendered by Hasbro in descriptions, as far as I can tell and apparently Wingfinger might be female due to the head crest but then again Tigatron, Inferno and Waspinator (at least) all have female beast modes so hard to know if we can really judge by Beast Mode appearances.
That said, I tend to think Wingfinger looks female from pictures. I'm not sure what that says about me?   Still can't decide if I want any of the other bony bots...

Indeed! I'm super interested in what Arcee/Arcana Magna would looked like. Really any of the ones without an obvious 'super mode' to draw from for the Prime mode. Though part of me is tickled by the idea of Arcee having an inner bike bod and the Evolution Figure drawing more on her traditional appearance. I doubt they would have done that but it'd be interesting. To be honest Evolution Armour could be an interesting gimmick for them to revisit, especially if they played around with different versions of the characters. Possibly incorporating stuff learned with some of the Siege Leaders/Star Saber

Although she wasn't on the docket an Ariel/Elita 1 Evolution figure could have been fun too. I like to imagine PotP Elita as some kind of power up upgrade for the Netflix fig ^^

Indeed! And didn't the Galactus one only finish fairly recently too so the Marvel Legends guys might be feeling a bit... depleted too?

I must admit Highbrow tempts me in some form not least for being quite different an altmode to anything else in my collection but no realistically I've spent at least two months worth of fun money lately and I've got some pre-orders coming up on Pulse in November so I'll stay strong! ^^

Huh so out of curiosity I looked up doing that whole parts out thing on Bricklink and it'd work out to only a little more than RRP - similar to reasonable retired product markup - so certainly may be worth looking into in the future!

Edit: Oh and the spoiler tags for Metroid: DREAD are greatly appreciated as I intend to get that for Christmas. I really enjoyed the Metroid 2 remake a few years back by these devs  

 

first thoughts on Jetfire - he’s gargantuan. like apparently he’s in scale with the cartoon bible but he dwarfs grimlock who is already too big for my liking. Not far off what I imagine a combiner would be in wfc scale.

but as a standalone piece he really is quite something. So much presence , so cool looking.

I don’t think he will work with my wfc stuff so will have to find somewhere else for him

Deskbot for today, I finally transformed Ectotron again, he is a bit wobbly on the knees as Seige Fan said, but still looks really good. I never noticed his blue eyes.

 

AFAIK only Ractonite is, well, undefined in gender. The others are "he"s even though Wingfinger's alt mode is apparently indicative of a female ptero though, so I'm now thinking of him as kinda like Benten in Cyber City Oedo 808.  

I endorse this whilst also getting angry again that she and the entire remained-on-Cybertron crew got fridged at the end of Earthrise!
