So, I don't know if you are aware of this, because it took me quite a while before I worked up the courage, but the knees can actually bent well past 90 degrees. There is a soft lock that you have to force them past. It can be kind of scary, but it is actually part of transformation!

as for the bird beak, I had the same problem. I ended up using a sharp tool, and just gently pushing the mouth open with that.
It works fine, now, though it no longer closes as flush as it started.

Check upthread, I had the same problem. If you work some small tweezers into the mouth and slowly make your way upwards to the deepest part of the mouth, you can pry it open.. but yes, had some paint scratching, but if you're very careful to keep the tweezers flat, it should only scratch the inside of the mouth and not the sides. I have some gold paint to reapply. But yeah, no other way to get it open I'm afraid.

Mine arrived! Woohoo. Have him in bird mode on desk now. He is so tiny and cute. It is fantastic. Had to apply a little shock oil to the waist so it would slide but otherwise no problems.

have been envious of those who already got this in hand. finally got this yesterday from ShowZ and this thing is frick'n gob smacking amazing.

has surpassed any and all expectations i had of it. it easily tops IF in stylized bot design, surpasses both NA/MS in engineering and just kills NA in the quality of paint and tolerances. thing feels amazing in hand. joints are nice and tight but fairly smooth. articulation is amazing and can be easily balanced to hold poses like a champ. the gold and red paint is absolutely gorgeous. and the packaging… wtf?!?!

only issue i've had so far is the right hand has a really tight swivel, to the point i accidentally popped the hand/wrist assembly out when trying to turn it, and initially thought i had broke it.  popped it back in and all is still good.

beak opens/closes fine. double jointed knees work great once you unlock the lower one by flipping up the knee/shine cap.

i had wanted to purchase the original MP version but held off due to space and budget constraints and i'm glad i did. was ecstatic when CT announced their legend version and quickly PO'd, which i normally don't do. i regret not having PO'd two of these when the price was lower. still might double dip and grab another from TerryTFS that has it at $35 vs ShowZ which has it up to $40 now. i think this figure actually looks better than the MP in sculpt and colour palette for me. but still the temptation is there in getting the MP to complement with this.

with this release CT has definitely taken top 3p legend company title away from NA for me, which i have personally found slipping in the design and sculpt lately. i'm anxiously waiting on CT announcing the next bot in this crew and really hope they keep this level of excellence along with not jacking up the prices too much. i'm a little worried about follow up releases. i like their cat, bull and gorilla, but i wasn't too fond of the design direction they went with their lion.

feel sorry for any that pass on this because this isn't G1/toon/toy accurate enough for them, as i think they are missing out on one truly epic legend figure that's has taken the scene to the next level.

I want to say some kind of "welcome to the family!" without it sounding weird. But there's no other way to put it :D

...I mean "one of us!" is a bit more cultish. So, Family or Cult, I'll let you pick! :lol

Still waiting for mine to arrive, but goddamn, Cangtoys have definitely mastered the craft of making gold-painted parts looking fabulous without having to use chrome.

@Operative294 man, you took a gamble at placing an order so late ;)
@Spiffy @namartlu nobody really needs to "force" it open (just in case one hasn't received theirs's yet and don't needlessly have to put any extra stress on it), a dab of shock oil and a credit card tool of some type, mentioned in my vid :D

Great shots @Potchez and @TIKnTIN ! He looks phenomenal with endless posing options really. THe tolerances are so good, one of the best I've ever experienced. Here's my Rodan/Phoenix take on this little beastie!

Awesome shots, but don't most people think of Cutthroat as the Rodan equivalent?

Thanks man! And that's a very good idea!:D

@Nemesis_Compactor you're not wrong man! But this interpretation by Cang Toys has a cerain Rodanlike appearance to it compared to the original G1 toy and toon at least!
