Awesome! Hope there’s some new stuff out this weekend when I go hunting. Picked up a second job in evenings so I haven’t had much time, but I’m heading to Indy Sunday and plan on hitting a bunch of Walmart’s and Targets that day

Found these at my Walmart in London, KY earlier today. They also had two Grindors and one Slug.

I've noticed that Megs is selling a lot faster than Primal. Personally, I think Primal is the better toy, but I guess people can't resist a good dinosaur Transformer.

Definitely think Optimus primal is the better toy but I also think he might be easier to get on the secondhand market (at least in my experience) I was able to get a NIB universe primal and used original primal for relatively cheap but megatron is a little bit more pricey and seems to be in worse condition than primal. I’m glad they’re selling though because I really want Hasbro to do more BW reissues

Definitely agree on more Beast Wars reissues. I'd love to see a Transmetal Megatron that doesn't break apart at the waist.

I'd rather have more modern updates than straight up reissues. I have tm cheetor and optimus, optimal optimus, and silverbolt, and a 1st generation bw megs that I pieced together from 3 junkers. I much prefer kingdom bw over the old stuff as it meshes well with my modern hasbro/takara collection. Unicron trilogy updates that are on leaked list will save me money. I'll pass. Hated that line and most all the characters. Bw or beast machines I loved. Gimme a modern commander tiger hawk. Leader class depth charge and commander rampage. While it's kind of cool to see retro stuff most ends up sitting there pegwarming until it reaches clearance.

    I agree.

There's a reason I don't back collect and that's because nostalgia doesn't often hold up to having something in hand thirty years later. The Kingdom offerings have shown Hasbro is putting effort into updating the old character designs with improvements. Maybe not all of the figures are going to be better than previous attempts [I think Inferno will disappoint] but the significant majority of them are.

I would rather they continue with that. Especially if it means a Depthcharge that doesn't have a handle sticking out of his back.

I’m not 100% in this camp but specifically when it comes to Beast Wars to current i am with it. It was kind of the beginning of new engineering we are perfecting.

Reissues happen alongside modern updates, not instead of them. Look at all the G1 reissues over the last couple of years. Nearly every single character reissued has received an update in that time or soon will. I think Hasbro's two-pronged approach, appealing to nostalgia and modern sensibilities at the same time, is a win-win.

But transformers hadn’t been gone ever for it not to be that way. Something like masters of the universe in the late 90’s for example

That may be true but G1 reissues are typically overpriced for what they are. After the "got to have its" and scalpers clean the shelves the first time, the restock tends to linger and eventually go to deep discount. I just don't know that they are worth the shelf space in the long run.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.
There's nothing wrong with having no interest in reissues. I'm just saying that their existence doesn't take anything away from the current toys.

    Autocorrect ugh.

transformers hasn’t been out of production for any period of time, so any reissue will be along side modern versions
