Yes. One that isn't part Headmaster with a Godbomber that doesn't have arms that fall apart.

Actually on the subject of God Ginrai, now that we have Commander size to surpass Leader size and it applies to number of pieces rather than size, would Commander be the ideal class for God Ginrai with a Voyager-sized Godbomber?

 

I kinda want them to do a commander Ginrai/Power master Optimus Prime, and then release God/Apex Bomber as a stand alone Leader class release.

That way neither figure would eat into each other's budgets and we can get really well built versions of both of them. I feel like PMOP/Ginrai can easily use the entire commander budget for himself and turn out well, but throw Bomber in the same box and it'll quickly turn the whole thing into a mess.

Meanwhile, making Bomber into a roughly Doubledealer sized sorta Weaponizer in the leader class would make him about the right size for PMOP/Ginrai (don't forget how BEEFY God Bomber really is) and still be a decent enough stand alone figure. Even if his alt mode is kind of just an extra trailer, at least it has windows to sorta suggest it could be its own thing.

 

The question is, how would they handle the character bio and deco for the two? I'd assume they'd make the retail commander Optimus rather than Ginrai, but would they give him the american color scheme and release the Ginrai one as genselects, or is that not different enough and just give Optimus the ginrai colors and retcon that as his color scheme, and make a selects ginrai be the fire guts deco or something.

I'd also like the bulkier head and chest of the marvel look for PMOP, though even if HasTak doesn't do that that's probably something that can be 3D printed if a 3P upgrade kit doesn't do it.

Also God/Apex Bomber should be retconned as Roller if he's released at retail don't @ me

 

I'd say they would probably go with calling him Power master Optimus prime, because of course they would. But they'd likely make him look more like Ginrai so that he can easily double as both characters, then do a fire guts color scheme somewhere.

I would love a Marvel comics super mode helmet, but if they kept the head as a seperate piece like the og toy they could easily give us both either in the same box or packed with Apex Bomber, or if not it's an obvious upgrade kit addition.

And they'd likely call him Apex Bomber like they've done in the past, though I've always considered him to be an upgraded form of Roller anyway. He just got a new name with his new body like Galvatron or Victory Leo.

 

It'd be neat if they included the extra head to give everyone options (and save me the money since they'd likely give him the more normal head at retail)
And yeah, no matter what they say or the comics do I'm gonna headcanon Apex as Roller's new upgrade as well but I want it to be canon too

 

id love a SG/PMOP in JP cartoon colours(blue eyes) as a commander, with the smaller robot and new powermaster gimmick, (with hopefully the same marketing as the prime masters' powers) and id love a leader class weaponizer godbomber/apex/roller that you can give to any figure. and ofc, the fire guts selects redeco. this is counting that next commander isnt deathsaurus with breast animals to coincide with VS release next year

I've got it!!! They send everyone one part of the blast effects each month while we wait.

 

While part of me would be ok with it, I think a lot of people don't realize that in the anime God Bomber is actually the same height as the combined Super Ginrai/PMOP robot. He's a big beefy dude. Of course, Victory Leo is only intended to be about half a head shorter than Star Saber, so we know that if it comes down to it they'll play fast and loose with sizes in order to make the size/weight/proportions of the combined figure work.

Aside from not having the godmaster gimmick and entirely missing the regular sized Ginrai bot, LG Super Ginrai isn't actually a bad figure (despite how much I would prefer a version with the correct gimmicks and in the slightly more accurate WFC-esque aesthetic), but God Bomber is kinda where it all falls apart. Literally. God Bomber isn't a good figure, and can barely hold together outside of vehicle mode. It's not that surprising considering they had to design a figure to combine with a re-tool of a re-tool that was never meant to be God Ginrai in the first place. He's got Stability issues, some weird connection issues, and most baffling of all (in my opinion) the wings are...up above the soldiers rather than on the back? Like...who the hell approved that one?

Designing a new commander class Ginrai/PMOP that isn't a retool of combiner wars Ultra Magnus would also give them the opportunity to go into the project planning on God Bomber/Apex from the beginning, making sure the final combined version actually works as well as it can. And I want it really bad.







Seriously, who thought it was ok to put the wings there?

 

Hey everyone, I found something that may be cause for concern. On Pulse, if you look at the 3d render for the Brain of Courage, it looks like the entire face plate and head might be made of clear plastic. and They're on a hinge.

 

The way all the renders have been coloured, pretty sure the Brain of Courage's head and the hinge joint are intended to be solid plastic, and then the visor piece is just glued to that assembly.

 

I would like a more bulky/engineered ginrai/super/god one that leans more heavily into the toyetic look of the g1 figure much like victory saber does here proportion and bulk wise.

Only versions we have were the robot heroes cancelled line and the 89 Kabaya Super Parody chibi choco releases. Good luck finding the choco models in good condition though.

 

So, I’m honestly surprised our final number was 22706, was a lot less than I was expecting but still, we got all 3 tiers so yay

I do hope some 3p maybe will make a sword and hilt for him, I don’t hate his sword and stuff but like idk, they didn’t show it stores In his back I don’t think, but I just want a scabbard that’s like the show where he draws it from etc.

 

So they didn't announce it as a feature but I noticed in this picture, it seems to show the hilt plugged into his back? I've put a green circle to highlight it.

 

That must be what those lower back clips are for. Stinks that it probably can’t store when Victory Saber is formed but a nice addition nonetheless.
