Not sure if anyone's tried this yet.

I had to shave just 1mm away from the 2 tabs inside the 'shield' and it clips on perfectly on the grooves on his shoulders.

Pretty sure this was intended but not mentioned.

 

Sooo I just got this guy and wanted to know if anyone had any issues with Saber's knees not moving. One of mine is almost like it's superglued in place. I'm afraid to put to much pressure but it won't budge at all.

 

It was suuper tight for me but i got it moving with brute force ahaha dont try that though.

 

How good are robotoy base in after sales service? Mine have one flap missing...



Edit: Tony just got back to me about contacting the factory, so hopefully that goes well.

Got my Saber a week ago from robotoybase, and it was missing a flap.



Good news is, Tony said Saber will be getting a rerun in Q4, so the replacement part will be done then.

Great news is, he also said the reruns are also coming along with LEO!  
So Iron trans is not dead woohoo

 

Wow, I’m always tempted to get this guy but he’s outside of the scope of my collection. If he’s getting re-released though I’m sure I’m gonna cave and grab him.

 

That's great to hear, and I'd believe it because even down here in my country, people suddenly started asking me about the Irontrans Star Saber when I posted the above pic on our local communities.

It's funny that it felt like Saber's 1st run was so long ago, and then finding out it was just January this year, haha 

 

It was pretty much a quiet release and I guess they didn't make that many, not to mention total radio silence from them after releasing that Legends scale Prowl, so people kind of forgot IT even existed. Then suddenly people post IT and/or MP-24 Star Sabers in anticipation of the HasLab version, and almost immediately the hype for this character got another surge. Which is good, since I always thought Star Saber is one of those severely underappreciated JG1 characters.

 

So I got sick of trying to work around Star Blade's terrible ankles, so I decided to fix them:



Turns out, all you need to do is shave away some of the insides on his boots, and just like that:



This toy's greatest weakness has been rectified! Need to get some fine grit sandpaper to clean up the cuts, but i'm happy with the results.

 

Dude legit i did the same thing and it makes this guy a billion times better.

 

Can you take a picture on which exact part you took a blade (heh) against? Great work!
