So I managed to snag a loose Fangry from this set off of Evilbay from the US, seeing as it doesn't look like this set will be showing up in the UK (happily to be proven wrong). I had a mild interest in the Blackarachnia (mostly to swap the beast legs with Kingdom BA) but otherwise only wanted Fangry.

The head is a little bobble-headish, which I'll take apart and fix with superglue, but otherwise he's perfect QC wise, robot legs are decent at holding him up, and nothing falls apart, all clips together solidly for both modes. I have a spare Mindwipe blaster somewhere that I might dig out and spray black for him.

I have all the previous uses of this mold, Twinferno, Repugnus and Grotusque, and Fangry is my absolute favourite, so glad I picked him up, he just has so much personality. He just looks awesome, the colours pop, he looks mean. I know next to nothing about the character before getting the TR mini figure but as soon as I saw this I knew I had to try and get it.

Really hope they do Horri-bull and Squeezeplay, and hope they're easier to come by than Fangry... A two pack maybe?

I almost got this set a few days ago.....but I decided to hold off (Victory Saber took Priority..... now that it’s over I could splurge again when I can) until this coming pay period (again, Victory Saber topped a Repaint/ Retool Set for the time being)

So take it from someone who owns it... (or more precisely, who forgot this was even in the 4 pack)

The Allspark is the stealthiest d20 known to man.

It's so tiny and likes to hide behind whatever nook and cranny you left it in.

Put it in a plastic baggie and place it somewhere in plain sight. You WILL lose the Allspark. Now you know how the Transformers felt about looking for the darn thing, which plays into its RPG roots. The d20 will win if you let it.

All D20's possess the soul of a serial killer in them. I thought all dice rollers knew that.

Got the set for Fangry and the Blackarachnia arm swap, but I’ve gotta say, I love the deco on Nemesis Primal. At first there wasn’t really a spot for him in my collection, but then I remembered another black repaint with a retooled head, and I think they look cool together. 7200E775-4A96-4E0B-9912-98381F8BA272.jpeg Sins of the father

Got my set back in August but just opened it tonight.

Primal - Love the colors. Already was a fan of this mode, but these colors have me smitten.

Bumblebee - This is my second version of this mold in the last week (SG Goldbug being the other) and the... 6th? overall in my possession, and I don't get tired of it. This really is a solid figure, and as a hybrid G1/Bay Bumble, or perhaps Bumper?, this works nicely. I already have NF, but this gets the color and logo right. Army green is a weird color for his gun though.

Blackarachnia - Thinking this will be Tarantula, a fembot counterpart to Tarantulas from an alternate universe. Really nice colors on the deco. Joints are smidgen looser than I like, but not really floppy. Only drawback is the colors don't hide some of the design issues the way black did. Still one of the more solid deluxe beasties.

Fangry - Eh. Works as Fangry. Tolerances are bad as others have said. My first experience with this mold, and I can't say I'm impressed, but I don't really expect much from a Fangry either. Given the reviews I was actually expecting worse.

I like that the original TR Fangry can act as a little familiar for himself, realized this as I was messing with them earlier 2CD3A13D-11AE-4270-906E-7B5D3BB731EE.jpeg

I only ever saw this set once in the wild and I picked that one up. Never saw it anywhere since, but have seen the other Buzzworthy sets multiple times.

A lot of people seem to be shitting on Bee pretty hard for this set, but honestly he’s the only one I wanted from the 4. Yeah, I get that this mold has been used a LOT. But as for someone who’s never had a G1-ish Bee, I love it.
It may even be heresy to say, but him not being a VW Beetle is what enticed me even further to seek him out by himself. 3791A5C1-46FE-4F09-A206-C7ED5C88F601.jpeg A8148464-61F4-4203-9913-5F8FF23F3B98.jpeg CFA805B1-55C8-462A-9DF5-0C8DE574A15D.jpeg
    I just think he’s neat. :)
Edit: okay I realized after uploading this that it made no sense for me to paint his headlights red, so I just repainted em.

I has netflix bee and this was not an G1 Bee to me. Plus the other 2 where unknown to me. I bought Nemesis Optimus Primal separately on ebay for $40 cuz that's the only figure I wanted out of the set. But I'm glad you enjoy this version of Bee.

A friend of mine got the set to swap the spider legs and feet with Kingdom BA, and generously let me have the parts-swapped Toyarachnia which is the only one from the set I'd wanted (and had planned to swap out the spider legs and on-sell regular BA 'cos the black legs work better on the toy-deco version IMO). I don't have the Kingdom version and had never experienced it before. My 'regular' Blackarachnia is an LG BA with swapped spider legs from the standard Animated release, which I still like a lot and didn't really want to replace.

She's great. The black spider legs and eeevil headsculpt really give her a sinister vibe, the black robot feet make the spider mode look super-creepy (with the green under-mandible bits looking like venom-sacs), the engineering is really clever (now I see why people have been saying so many Kingdom figures are 'mini-Masterpieces'), robot mode is super-expressive, and I love the colour layout and mix of leopard-print bra and sort-of tiger-stripes along her arms and legs. About the only thing missing IMO are some extra purple highlights on the feet, which I'm going to do once I have a chance to get a right-coloured purple Sharpie. Swapping the legs and feet made my friend's Kingdom BA look much better as well.

The only real issue I'm having is that I cannot for the life of me get her gun plugged in in beast mode. It looks to me like the extra paint has made the pegs too thick to really fit in the elbow slots. Not a huge issue but I'd like the weapon storage option if I could.

She's not going to suit everyone's taste, but I think she rocks.

Finally got my hands on this set thanks to Popcultcha in Oz at a reasonable price, which is sheer madness given the shipping distance but seeing as Hasbro UK are apparently skipping it what choice did I have.
Only problem is 'Bee was missing a tyre...
    DSC_0143.jpeg

Luckily it turned out it wasn't a problem for someone with a spare TR 'Bee, have we known for a while that the TR Legends carbot tyres are compatible?
    It's definitely new to me!
I did wonder if they were splaying a bit under his weight at the back but when I tested the original tyres they did the same!

The crazy thing is the divots in the TR wheels even work for the skinny door tabs on the back of the feet!

It’s a lot easier to transform and align compared to my Earthrise Cliffjumper due to lack of paint near the surfaces with tight clearances, the lack of paint definitely made a difference. The side torso panels however are too loose for my liking(not as secure in robot mode).

Finally got around to picking this set up (out of a combination of laziness, personal financial managing, and waiting for an aftermarket listing I was comfortable spending), and perhaps all the months of reasoning all my personal nitpicks has helped mellow out my overall opinion. I still think there were some missed opportunities here and there, but as a combined package it's great.

Nemesis Primal is a great concept... If only Optimus Primal wasn't already toting black fur and red robot mode eyes (and also Primal's in-show combat brutality). Combine that with his Welch's gorilla mode and he ends up being more of a Bizzaro version rather than a realized dark-personality version. Still very eye-catching, especially the metallic teal and red highlighting. On my copy the biceps are a tad loose, but can still hold a pose. Do love the new headsculpt; faceplate lines aside, that glare gives me major "Gorilla Warfare" vibes. Honestly, I thought I would hate it more—and it makes me want a "Dark Designs" Predacon Rhinox to go with this guy.
    IMG_7175.jpg
The Allspark went right into my blast effects container after I took the photo of the two in gorilla mode, I don't trust myself to put something that small on the shelf.

Fangry is definitely what most people were grabbing this set for (and I nearly justified paying ~$45 just for this guy alone). QC aside, this is a fantastic reuse of the Monsterbot body. I think the original concept art that was more a reworked Twinferno would have been preferable, but sticking with Grotusque's robot arms—>monster arms style was probably for the best cost-wise. I did find the magenta being brighter than the previous TR version surprising, but definitely welcome. Also, the uncanny valley of the wolf head being able to crack its mouth open as far as it can is the best feature for me personally, so creepy in the best ways.
    IMG_7183.jpg
    IMG_7181.jpg

Lord knows why they didn't include the Twinferno/Grotusque guns with this guy, but they look cool strapped onto the monster back.
    IMG_7182.jpg

Everyone's said their piece on this Bumblebee, but it's still a great alternative if you weren't able to get the Walmart VW Bee. However, for those that already have a Generations-style Bumblebee for the mainline collection (Netflix or otherwise), this is redundant—and that's why this guy flooded eBay in droves. That said, there's nothing strictly wrong with it, but it has to play second fiddle to another Bumblebee using the same design.
    IMG_7180.jpg

What Fangry is in terms of design, Toy Card Blackarachnia is in terms of deco. Obnoxious colors and cleanly stamped stripes and spots help sell that original art look, combined with the brushed-on metallic paint that provides both sheen and that old school painted look (even if the actual application isn't very consistent). QC wise the neck hinge was a tad loose, and the purple paint on the head made the ball joint scarily tight, though thankfully the paint also prevented the head halves from sandwiching flush so it was easy to pry it all apart to loosen the latter joint. Regardless, if you weren't keen on the ruggedness of the original Kingdom Wave 1 Blackarachnia, this toy will feel about the same in-hand.
    IMG_7178.jpg

Nemesis Primal is a good toy, but needs a better story to justify it. If you have a place for him in the collection, or can come up with your own tale for this character's existence, you can't go wrong getting this figure. Bumblebee, as I've said before, is a decent solution to the Generations Bumblebee spot in a collection. Apart from that, it lacking no extra twists makes owning it pointless if you already do own a Bumblebee. If you had to pick up this Bumblebee by himself, pay maybe $25-$30, though unfortunately the aftermarket hasn't been kind to this guy.
    IMG_7184.jpg

Fangry and Blackarachnia are definitely the shining jewels of this set, and personally speaking were the primary reasons to get this set. Fangry of course fills out his place in a modernised display, whereas Blackarachnia is for those in love with the sillier things the fandom clings onto in addition to real toy history. I find Blackarachnia tends to go for what I think are reasonable prices on the aftermarket—just make sure you're not buying ones that have had the spider legs swapped out if you're buying her loose. As for Fangry, I wouldn't say he's $40+ good, but it's a solid figure with easy fixes for the QC issues and plenty of 3rd party solutions to arm him.

I only take issue with this part of your assessment, "Grotusque's robot arms" massively overstates the reusage seeing as it's only his forearms, and the shoulder pads, biceps-to elbows, and both sets of fists on Fangry are new, and Grotusque is the better choice IMO (retooling the chest panel flip arms into dragon heads would have totally eaten the budget on the set otherwise I reckon, seeing as the extra mass of the chest panel and the wolfshead are most likely what cost him a gun/s I dread to think what a Twinferno retool would have done to the set's features).

I thought I was understating it, because it's just the forearms having to flip around to bring the monster hands to the front. To overstate it, I think I would have to go into intimate detail of the full extent of what the retool entailed in addition to my included photos, which shows the changed parts. You are right that a Twinferno retool would be cost-prohibitive, which is why I mentioned that the current solution was "best cost-wise"

I'll take responsibility that I was being ignorant about including certain details in text, but this is a set that was released in Q3 2021, with plenty of reviews (including this thread) and articles since that go through in-depth, and thus I felt I didn't need to do the same today. I just wanted to share my own opinion. I apologize that part of my review wasn't satisfactory.

This seems a bad faith reading of my statement in bald text but in case of honest misreading let me clarify that I feel your assessment overstates the extent of reusage, and thus to me seems dismissive of the additional work done. I'm stating my minor disagreement with your review, not binning/rubbishing the entire enterprise.

The biggest problem with Nemesis Primal is that he's toting black fur. There was an opportunity here for an awesome recolor. Albino ape, even with the purple skin, would have had even more people searching for this set.

Sorry for the slight necro thread. I had honestly given up hope. But after *pre-ordering this set a year and a half ago, months after it had sold out everywhere*, somehow, they were able to deliver. Kudos to Ages 3 And Up!

I wanted this set for the ability to swap Blackarachnia's legs with the Kingdom version. But man, Peggy Bundy and her Animal Brute Squad have instantly become favourites. She's so trashy, and I love it.
    20231211_013117~3.jpg

And I only just discovered that I've not been properly transforming the Fangy mold-mates. The "hip-brackets" clip on to the spine area completely, and I had been hesitant to push that far until Fangy. I'll have to dig out the Monsterbots to fully enjoy this discovery.

My Bumblebee has a very distinct indent in the paint across his chest where the plastic tie was holding him in package. I don't really mind, as he is from another dimension where this kind of thing is aesthetically pleasing. Yes, that's what I'll tell myself.
    20231211_020240~2.jpg

All in all, worth the wait!
