I believe it's just an educated guess, Takara said somewhere that all six members would be released over two years which works out at four month intervals.
That's assuming of course that they mean exactly two years and that they'll all have the same release intervals. Far too early to say really.

But the thing is, where did they say they would release it over two years? I haven't found any direct from Takara of any specific time period.
The only actually announced date is Shouki's release date.
We'll just wait and see then.

How about here? Someone said it talks about being released over the course of two years.

I may be wrong, but I think I read somewhere on here that the ¥10000 and two versions released simultaneously info pertained to Skids and was accidentally mixed in with Raiden info when translating adjacent parts of the book.

Seems very much so. This is why I prefer looking at official sources, it's less ambiguous^^

Yup, that is indeed the article that mentions the two year release schedule. It doesn't give any details beyond that, so the "one release every 4 months" is just an educated guess.

IMO, Hasbro/Takara can't slow play the combiner line. That would deteriorate the excitement of a masterpiece combiner. It would be prudent to churn them out at a reasonable time frame. Two years for the six trainbots is rational... will see.

On a tangent, the selling point for me would be the overall look of Raiden and not the individual bots.

Yeah, that was a rumor that had apparently grew some legs over there as a lot of people were surprised by the actual MSRP because it was so far from what they expected.

My guess (and what I'd do) is option 3. 2 is very unlikely IMHO based on how often they were shown running together in the show. As for 1--- If you were going to adjust the wheel gauge so that all could use the same track while keeping the locos the same scale----I think it'd look better and be more consistent to also have the bullet trains "fudge" their wheel-gauge as well and re-scale those locos so that there's not such a big discrepancy between the two sizes/gauges----as in, instead of having a perfectly scaled HO scaled-and-gauged bullet train, and a massively-altered Cape loco, kind of average it out so that "both are off a bit, but they meet somewhere in the middle, so that you don't have one group very proportionate and one group very off".

Another (and simple) option would be dual-gauge track, but as we've seen the track, we know they're not doing it. (I'm not sure it'd work in curves though, while coupled----but would be fine for static display on straights etc)

"over two years" was the official quote I used for my schedule. In my opinion we will get halfway through the trainbots, and they will sell well, and then before the 4th is released we will get a reveal of the next phase in the MPG line. I assume Devy. And then we will get the first constructicon before we actually get the last Trainbot. This is speculation of course. The 2 year quote is official from TT in one of the interviews.

Hope I'm right! I want to know what's coming and this MPG line LOOKS TITS!!!!!~~~~~ June can't come fast enough!!!!

Both are correct. Here's the original source for the 2 years.
Here is where the release information was speculated.

The quotes under "UPDATE 12/12/2019" on the first page are the ones with scans of Generations 2020 if you want to take a look at those.

Thanks, dude. I did look through those quotes before making my previous post, but couldn’t find a link to the tweet itself. Being able to check that source directly could help sort all this out.

    Otherwise it’s just a lot of “I saw/heard this from someone”. :)

Did you mean a TT MP Metroplex??

Devy in this line would be boooring. :p  The Dinoforce would be much cooler. Or even a Reflector with a strong emphasis on the camera mode (to appeal to retro camera enthusiasts). Although...that wouldn’t satisfy 2 of the 3 G’s, so ok maybe not him. What else then? BWII Magnaboss? Car Robots JRX? Micron Densetsu Convoy?!

We should find some definite stuff in Figure King this month, (wouldn' be surprised if this is one of the few times Transformers actually gets the cover). I'm expecting an interview, we're most likely 5 or 6 months out from the Generation book and this is a big deal. Kind of surprised they just dropped this out of nowhere though, between this and Star Saber, I would have guessed a bigger or even some buildup in Figure King, Shouki is up with Pos and there's not really much else you can do or promote till the next train is ready for reveal and that is some way off

Two years sounds like a long time before another project reveal. I could be slightly biased towards Devastator based on my avatar, but I sure don't want to have to wait until mid-2024 for any chance at some Constructions. I know there is absolutely no evidence that Devastator would be next and every time we state him as "an obvious second figure" we'll end up disappointing ourselves when he is not.

But still, if TT managed to work in some other MPG figures besides Raiden that would give me a glimmer of hope that they'll get around to my favorites before the end of my lifetime. Just look at 3P. FT managed to complete their combiners starting in April 2019 and finished in ... oh they're still working on them and unlikely to finish their first in under 3 years? Well, good for TT if they can make 2 years happen! At least 3P combiners demonstrate that fans will support a $900 or $1200 combiner that takes a couple years to release and will even support multiple combiners running simultaneously.

What recent 3p combiner has cost that much? Aren't they all around the 600 mark?
