pretty much this with regard to having the molds made and going into production. Generally, the 3 years timeframe a lot of people talk about includes concept art, product design, initial prototyping and general mold design. Those I’m sure have been going on in the background for awhile now (probably since the fan vote when Star Saber came in 2nd).

edited to add: when I say mold design, I mean cad files on how how things will be layed out, not actually having the molds manufactured.

I'm not MP-only, but it is my preference. If this is in-scale to the MP, then it can substitute just fine to me. I like the Japanese characters, and I wish most of them had carried into an American cartoon. Mostly God Ginrai / Powermaster Prime. If HasLabs does Ginrai where he is as tall as MP-44/MP-10, I'd go for it in a heartbeat.

 

It seems that this doesn’t scale with MP however. I believe that the combined mode is as tall as MP Star Saber (I may be wrong, sorry if I am).

I just hope we get a nice packaging reveal. I didn't even get Unicron, but I felt sorry for everyone that got just a plain brown Box. The Other Haslab projects have had premium packaging, and Transformers deserves better.
