Well, I'm intrigued. I'll consider saving the rest of my budget on star saber after I get black zarak

Um what? A thread gets less active once everyone has posted their thoughts on the matter and move on when there's nothing new to discuss.

But saying everyone saying they are done posting here keeps the thread going like it is now.

Except for those of us who are planning to buy it on storefronts in Q1-2 2022. Just saying.

What I'm trying to say is that, compared to last night and when we had updates, there won't be a significant number of people posting here until we get new info. I'm not saying no one is gonna post here. Just don't expect more people around here this time around for a while.

    I did.

Also, someone suggested what more should we discuss. I can’t find the exact post, but one thing I suggest we get is a Spotlight one-shot comic or something that basically tells us why Star Saber and Victory Leo are awesome. (Y’know, to block out any lingering thoughts about the Star Saber no one likes.) Haslab Unicron came with some comics, right?

And what I'm trying to do is keep the thread going for no reason at all.

my prediction for this figure is that victory leo is going to be complained about its awkward flight mode, saber's base mode is the one mode NOBODY's going to use aside from reviewers on youtube showing it, people are going to complain how the front of the jet mode for saber swivels to much because it's on a round peg in robot mode. Star saber's joints will either be friction joints, (which will cause some major problems) or be ratchet joints that probably will be pretty good by themselves, but will cause some problems in combined mode. There's going to be some 3rd party version, either an upgrade kit or a figure itself that will be extremely controversial.

So the final amount of backers was 22,708. I had guessed 25,000. I was off by 2,292

People were already complaining about how hollow the figure looked with his thighs. I think third party groups are already planning on fixing that.

It was near my best case scenario in the 23,000-30,000 range. Which is good enough in my view.

Yeah interested. I was wondering if you/he had more fun gif creations of Transformers. :)

Hell yeah I know of him. :)

Great MP Star Saber gif sir Timelord. I have the MP too, but I am super interested in getting something from HasLab. If nothing else because I've missed out on all the previous HasLab offerings. But also I watched Victory and know the characters, and iys cool to have Victory Leo aka Convoy rebuilt. Plus it's a different scale and size probably made with high end materials. Unlike the joints on my MP. STILL love the MP though.

Honestly, I can’t say I’m disappointed with the numbers. This has been the third most successful (non HeroQuest) Haslab. And for a relatively obscure character from a brand that definitely isn’t as mainstream popular as its competition (Marvel and Star Wars) I say that’s pretty good!

    1. Victory Leo's 'flight mode' is pretty much only required to combine with Star Saber in vehicle mode. And it's accurate to the original Victory toy and cartoon too, so you really can't complain.
    2. Well, the original's base mode was kinda shoehorned in anyway. But this version beats out the older version by including the shield, which can attach to the base mode to make it look a little more convincing as a defensive emplacement.
    3. The Saber jet front/sword hilt also has two tabs in addition to the peg to secure it. See the attached pic.
    4. Hasbro's made Jetfire and Sky Lynx, which are comparable in size to Victory Saber, and they've also gotten experience on loadbearing joints from producing Titan class figures. Even Unicron had no problem holding poses, so I don't think we should worry about this.
    5. 3Ps make upgrade kits. It's what they do. There will probably be some gap filler kits, and maybe an extra part that lets the V-Lock cannon sit in the center (if it can't do so by itself; my guess is that it can). But does that mean Victory Saber will be a bad figure? Absolutely not. Even some of the most universally praised figures have upgrade kits made of them, so it's not exactly a knock against quality.
