An MP-style Dai Atlas is so long overdue.

Funnily enough, in the MP poll that would give us MP Star Saber, Dai Atlas ended up making number 4 out of the 11 candidates.

And given Takara announced a Masterpiece line for combiners and Dai Atlas is technically a combiner (albeit in vehicle mode), maybe an MP Dai Atlas is not completely out of the question?

I myself would love to score myself a CHUG Big Powered set, but BBTS already ran of them ages ago and Legends Dai Atlas' barely-there lower legs are still a massive red flag, especially since the third-party leg fillers appear to be very out of print. But since Haslab Victory Saber has proven to be a runaway success, perhaps a Headmaster-less do-over of Big Powered is now much more likely than ever?

I certainly hope so. Star Saber/Victory Leo has turned out to be a massive success as ALL THREE unlock goals were reached. So there is reason to hope that some of the Japanese only characters get new molds in the relatively near future (looking at you Deathsaurus!).

It's also funny that Takara went and actually made MPs of #'s 6 and 9 before all those guys that ranked higher in the poll.

I’d love to see the poll redone with Star Saber, Primal, and also Convoy omitted… would the people who voted Star Saber move to God Ginrai, because he’s G1?

I would actually be quite interested in them running this poll again - since Takara didn't make Victory Leo, would that tamp enthusiasm for other characters who have combining with someone else as a semi-integral part of their character (which, ironically, just leaves FortMax and Big Convoy)?

There’s some third party doing a masterpiece scale (I believe) Fort Max and just the head is $200+. So expensive, I’d imagine.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes around for Unicron levels of price.

The Metroplex or the third part Fort Max?

For the Fort Max I doubt it’ll come close considering just the head (Cerebro, right?) is $200+ and it’s supposed to be 4ft tall. So if it’s less than $1500 I’ll be surprised.

For the Metroplex I guess it all depends on what scale they use and how they try to do it you know? Cause they could go the route of having him be about Fort Max/ Scorponok comics height which iirc would be about 2-3 Optimus prime heights. But if they try to go for a bigger not in scale but huge bot, then that could easily reach $1000+

Yeah, I meant Fort Max. Was thinking about the Titan for Legends at the time. It would be huge and expensive.

Hopefully Hasbro will do a HasLab Dai Atlas in the future. More JG1 with dedicated CHUG figures has me excited.

They're definitely not making a new one. If you want this, track it down, I'd say.

    Ok sounds good.

And you never know. I wouldn’t have thought that they’d make a new Victory Saber a year ago but here we are. I’m definitely not holding my breath about it or anything but I’m also not going to give up all hope.

But yeah this guys seems pretty tight!

The overwhelming success of the Victory Saber Haslab achieving 200% of what was needed for production could sway Hasbro to give more consideration to JG1 characters in the main line. Personally, I'm hoping for an affordable Raiden in the future.

I like this set because of the unusual vehicle combining idea instead of combining for a giant bot. Some complain that these characters weren't meant for the titan master gimmick, but it's my favorite gimmick so that's a bonus to me.

Fair enough on the Titan master gimmick but I’ve never been a huge fan. Not the worst thing in the world but definitely not my thing, you know? But yeah I hope to see more JG1. I think we’re getting Minerva next year so I hope 2023 brings a lot more.

Raiden is cool, but you want to know who's cooler? Rail Racer.

Obviously there's enough space for both (There is Hasbro) and I want both but I will give a fairy my firstborn if I have to to get Rail Racer within the next 5 years

Rail Racer is not a jg1, that do not mean they will not do it, but the success of Star Saber is irrilevant about the decision...

The OG Railracer toy still stands up pretty well today, so that's always an option. (I have one and love it) It's still reasonably priced in the aftermarket, at least from when I've checked in.

    A BIGGER one, though... hmm...
