Cartoon broadcast rights have nothing to do with trademark (“character and toy rights”). Hasbro owns all Transformers. They own Animated, its characters, and its designs. They can release whatever they want, regardless of how individual shows may have weird legal tape on who can re-release the episodes.

Define "probability factors." Your statement says and proves nothing.

Technically that's wrong. Cartoon Network definitely does not hold the rights to Animated since reruns of the show were played on The Hub concurrently with TFP.

Well then Hasbro needs to get on the ball on TFA.

I don't think Hasbro has signed any rights in regards to toys away to Cartoon Network. That would be bonkers.
It would mean that if anything "resembles" a character from the animated series there would be legal issues. Hasbro would avoid that at all cost.
And we had a Blitzwing with multi face options in the generations line.

I know, right? It's been over ten years and TFP is getting brand-new toys intended to actually be those characters before it. I don't count the old Lugnut and Lockdown from the Movieverse era, nor do I count the super crappy head gimmick on T30 Blitzwing.

TFA needs to be in Legacy alongside other non G1 brands. It’s pretty annoying TFP is getting a shot but TFA is ignored..

It's about the money. G1,BW & Prime bring in money. If Animated has enough following there will be stuff made.

I mean tbf there is 2/3 of the trilogy we don’t know. But I do think that if we get through all of the trilogy with all the different continuities and whatnot without animated, I’d be upset. At this point I’d jump on anything animated. I love every design from that show so I’d pick it up 100%. My main hopes would be a new Lugnut, Blitzwing and Prowl, personally!

Evolutions Optimus was really good, IMO. He looked great as a full-blown Optimus and the Orion Pax figure was cool too. And I have the Amazone-exclusive Nemesis Prime version as well and even though I never take the deluxe-size smaller version out to transform, he still looks absolutely badass.

Rodimus Prime was a dumpster full of burning tires though. Where the dumpster itself was also on fire and not just the tires inside. The Hot Rod figure was cool, but Rodimus himself... woof.

Now the longer wait begins. Luckily for me Haslab got this over to me. They forgot Leo though ;) :

That's a super lame argument for several reasons. One: Beast Wars has been pretty much absent from CHUG for over a decade, ending this year with Kingdom. Two: Prime was an abject failure; overseas it bombed so hard that Transformers toys were outright removed from shelves, and in the States shelf space shrunk in size.

We’re rumored to get Bulkhead, who originated in Animated. It’d be nice to get a new Lugnut or Prowl inspired by Animated as well.

Said Bulkhead is supposed to be the TFP incarnation of the character; I 100% agree on getting a new Bike Prowl and a properly-sized Lugnut in at least Leader class.

That’s good, but isn’t it suppose to be TFP bulkhead?

The question is does Hasbro like making animated toys? I think not.

Hasbro likes making money. If there’s money there then they’ll make it.

You seem very sure of yourself, and of your supposed knowledge of Hasbro's inner workings. Please, do share where you're getting this information. Otherwise, please, do us all a favor and keep your opinions regarding Animated to yourself.

We also thought Hasbro didn't like making BW toys, or UT toys, or Japanese G1 toys.

I don't think anything's ever off the table.
