Honestly pretty much the ending half of S2 was dedicated to decrypting and finding icaon relics.

 

G1 did it more than once or did you forget the Insecticons and the Heart of Cybertron?

 

They pulled from TFP, but it wasn't the same exact storyline. Just like Knight pulled from G1 in Bumblebee. That's why it would not surprise me if they pulled from TFP for Bee's death, as well as the Bot characters.

 

There's no real proof time travel is going to be in the film - it's possible that the Maximals are prehistoric Cybertronians (given that they've been described as "ancient" in various different interviews) who ended up on Earth for some reason. I think the Terminator comparison meaning that time travel will be involved in the film is a red herring - Caple mentioned Terminator 2 because it's a 90's action film, which he cited ROTB as taking a lot of inspiration for.

This is only really a plot hole if that specific version of events happens with the Maxies and Preds - if they're prehistoric Cybertronians, hypothetically, Prime could have found something that indicated Earth as the likely location where they ended up.

This is all speculating, mind.

In recent years, ironically, that's pretty much become the reason why they end up on Earth - because that's where the Allspark ended up. I don't think that's ever going to be changed in the lore, post-2007.

 

That about what I think as well Elena has found something maybe a stone drawing or a manuscript about the Maximals and or Predacons and after she somehow gets in connection with the Autobots. They get fascinated with this - cause I feel they’re no way they knew about the Maximals or Predacons before hand since they’re from the future and their descendants. And the idea of they’re being more Cybertronians on Earth (maybe they can help the Autobots as allies or something) and the terrorcons are after them as well.
Would also be a way to have the human character be be they’re as Prime and other Autobots definitely don’t know how to get to Peru or even find Matchu Pichu in Peru and definitely don’t understand Earth culture yet along with can’t interest with them. So they need Noah and Elena to help them.

Exactly. Funny how these films reuse the same narrative devices, and yet the suits and ties, and some of the audience, want folks to think that the filmmakers aren't giving us the okey-doke for the umpteenth time. . .If it looks like a duck, moves like duck, acts like a duck, and quacks, it would be insane not to see it for what it clearly is-a duck. We shall see.

Just because he's with the human doesn't mean he's the kid-appeal character. In AOE Optimus was the human's "partner" but Bumblebee was still the kid-appeal of the movie, and, you know, DIDN'T DIE. Killing Bumblebee would serve 0 purpose, it would just piss off fans of the character as well as upset kids. There is no benefit other than shock value. I agree that Mirage could be taking the forefront in the movie rather than Bee, but claiming that this means Bumblebee will die is just jumping to conclusions.

 

IDK I feel like still, that float is still too small for a Maximal to fit under (since they're most likely gonna go with giant animals and not life-size ones like Kingdom went).

 

I doubt the movie will go with "giant animals", a over-blown huge Cheetah would look kind of ridiculous. Maybe Rhinox and Primal will be "car robot sized'' but I think otherwise we can expect Cheetor and Airrazor to be fairly normal sizes. This movie even has Arcee as a bike, so even Autobot-wise, it'll already introduce the idea of modestly sized robots.

 

You forgot when those arrived - AT THE SAME TIME as the Autobots and Decepticons. The Heart was the power core of the ship the Decepticons used to board the Ark and thus crashed with the cybertronians and the ark, just in a different location. And the Insecticons simply got separated from the main Decepticons and kind of went feral as a result.

More than likely. It’s a summer blockbuster, so 2.5 hours is likely. Nothing less than 2 though. I’d be surprised if it was.

 

So then Skyfire shouldn't count because he knew Starscream.
