calculating the interesting on credit card is over my pay grade due to compounding interest etc. but lets simplify it and just say it was a straight 20% interest per month for 14 months. and we'll say each VS was an even $200 for taxes, etc. that would be $40 per month x 14 months = $560 each

say you bought 5 and sold 4.

initial cost of VS and taxes: $1000

5 VS credit card interest: $560 x 5 = $2,800

ebay fee is about %10? : $280 + $2800 = $3080

$3080 / 4 = $770 to break even

ebay fee 10%? = $123 + $1230 = $1353

for me, i ordered 3, and i pay off my credit cards monthly.

so $600 initial cost of 3 VS plus taxes.

$600 plus $60 ebay fee = $660 / 2 sold = $330 each to break even

 

Shipping has to be factored in too. This isn’t fitting in a flat rate box.

Edit: if I had to guess, the final price with late tax next year will settle in around $400-450 for those looking on eBay. But I think I may be underestimating that number.

Ah. So $330 sale price but then the buyer is likely looking at say $385 total cost including shipping and sales tax.

 

Sadly, I lack the funds and space to go all out like that, but I totally would if I could.

 

Credit card interest is based on an annual rate. It wouldn't be 20% a month, it would be 20%/12 = 1.67%

So that calculates out to about $46 total over the 14 months, again not accounting for compound interest.

 

Would be really awesome if we got to 20k on our own and then Hasbro reveals the fourth tier and then puts out takaras numbers that will probably bring us to 25k

 

Or.....if your credit card does charge you 20% a month, Ill consolidate your loans for just 10% a month! Win, win!
