Is this supposed to be a sort of 3v3 BrawlStar style game?

 

I hope it doesn't suck ass. But my expectations are lower than they could ever be since TF: BG.

 

This is a hard pass for me!

 

Battlegrounds is nice, but we aren’t talking about a point-based combat system or RTS strategy game. We’d like more third person games like the movie games of the Cybertron duology.

 

Man. In ten years time, you'd think that would be enough time for folks to build a bridge and get over it. The WFC and FOC games have a ridiculously low possibility of getting a sequel at this point. The studio is non existent. Not every TF game is for me. Still going strong in Earth Wars. The longest supported TF game ever. I've played most of the others. Legends, Battle Tactics, Forged to Fight and so on. All decent enough but just not my thing. Not gonna shoot this one down until I check it out. Might be my new thing to play on the ipad.

I am surprised that they haven't made a RPG-like gacha at this point. It seems like a lot of series do it at some point.

The wiki just seems to state that it was loss and very rushed, but its still doesn't state that it officially isn't canon, just like a husk with the limbs barley holding on by tendens and muscle

 

And those aren't the only issues. Several other characters have very different personalities from their High Moon counterparts, most notably Megatron, who is much calmer and more manipulative than he is in the games. Dark Energon is portrayed in the games as an energy source manufactured aboard a space station, but according to the cartoons, it's the literal blood of Unicron. Fall of Cybertron revealed that the Nemesis is actually Trypticon, but if I recall correctly, the crew of Prime claimed that the ship temporarily gaining a mind of its own was not meant to be Trypticon waking up. Cliffjumper was presumably aboard the Ark when it left Cybertron (he was seen at the launch site mere moments before take-off), but in Prime, he was one of the Autobots who were left behind. Speaking of the Ark, what the heck happened to it? The 'Cons still have their ship, why are the Autobots hiding in an abandoned missle silo? And where are the rest of the crew? We know for a fact that Jazz was on board, so why doesn't he show up until Robots In Disguise, when the war's been over for years? What about Ironhide, the Aerialbots, and the entire Autobot army? Did they all die offscreen, or did they just abandon their comrades and the planet they were supposed to be defending? If the latter is true, then why did they abandon them? And that still isn't everything! There's just no way they could possibly be set in the same universe, and Hasbro knew that, which is why they decided to break up the "Aligned Continuity" into several smaller continuities.
